So coaching for a school that still hasn't won a national championship for the last 37 years in a row is as good as it gets? Thanks for the laugh and for proving my long held belief that mutts are just bammers without all the national championships really is true

I know PHAN when I see him and Georgia lives in your skull 24/7 or better yet 28/7. Enjoy your time watching us in the playoffs. Get used to it.

Let's try rephrasing that... he's coaching for the current SEC Champions, in the college football playoffs, currently is rated the number 1 recruiter in college football, and set to earn a ridiculous raise in the off-season. Is it the best job he'll ever have in his career? No. But is he likely to take the bounce back to Auburn for a lateral role without substantially more pay than he can make with his current team? Unlikely. Auburn may *try* to lure him away, but unless you're dangling OC or co-OC, I think you'd be unlikely to pull him, as we'd likely match any reasonable number that you threw out and possibly then some. If I'm Dell, I'll hold out until Auburn finally pulls the trigger and cans Gus... by that point, they'd likely be begging him to come back home with the level that he's recruiting at currently. There was talk that Ga Southern wanted to hire him as their HC but they also want someone to run the triple option and he seemingly doesn't want to be attached to gimmicky offenses. Right/Wrong/Indifferent, many view Gus' offenses as gimmicky...

Thanks for proving to the rest of the board that you have no ability to look at things from an objective standpoint. Objectively... unless Auburn is offering some sort of substantial improvement over his current situation, going back to his alma mater for a position coach role seems pointless. Out of curiosity, what other Auburn alums are out there in the coaching ranks and doing well that might even be of interest? Rocker just joined UT's staff, but doubt he'd be a legitimate candidate for anything at Auburn.

He gone. 49,000,000.00 gone too.
Wouldn't say awesome. Got several years to play at a high level. Who doesn't want to leave is in-state talent. You're welcome. We wanted them and I hope the ones y'all got do great. I always do.

So he would leave a school who just won their first SEC championship since George Bush was president for a school who has two of them in the last 7 or 8 years, leave a school who still hasn't even reached a national championship game since the early 80's for a school that has reached two of them in the last 7 or 8 years. And this is supposed to be some sort of step down? Thanks for the laugh

I love this thread so much. Your lunacy is off the charts and you’re affiliation with AU makes it even better. Never change phan, keep on being an embarrassment to AU.

I agree that he would leave Athens for his alma mater but not for a lateral position. UGA is about to pay Dell out the nose for his efforts. Auburn is going to have to pay him handsomely and give him a bump in title and responsibility to get him.

Otherwise, Dell has a good thing going in a good city for his family and is getting PAID. I love UGA but if I was getting those three things elsewhere, I'd be hard pressed to leave for home.

You're a desperate moron pulling tales from your arse. Your claim of McGee going to Auburn is simply based on the fact that he went to Auburn, and nothing more. Isn't that cute. That arse kicking in the SEC championship must have really hurt.

You just outed yourself. Went from "he is ours" to "we will try to get him". What a fail.

Here Is the deal. Our success is built for the long haul. Au's success is is built upon flukes like finding a transfer like a cam newton or incredible luck, which is unsustainable.

Georgia's success is based on the eastern division being crap. If Georgia played in the west, you would have likely finished in 3rd place during the regular season

Yawn. Uga destroyed 2 of the best teams in the west, including the west champ.

It's the talent coming to uga that is gonna keep uga winning for the foreseeable future. Back to back Bama level classes and #1 so far for a third. Talent level at uga is going up. That should concern you.

Yet you would have still finished in 3rd place in the western division.

That's pure conjecture. Now let's get back to the point:

I notice you aren't trying to explain why Uga isn't built for sustained success.

You also aren't trying to explain why au's success has been so unsustainable.

So? We have beaten bammer more than anyone. Auburn has never had the best recruiting class even in the western division according to these rankings, yet this year is the 10th time we had the best record in the west or at least tied for the best record.

We just signed a quarterback that Gene Chizik and others compare to Cam Newton. Gene Chizik being the head coach when Auburn signed the original Can. We also are a lock to sign a kid some people consider the number one quarterback in the class of 2019 given that his dad is a former Auburn quarterback

That is big because poor play or injuries to quarterbacks is one thing that has prevented Auburn from winning even more than they have

So you say Poor play and qb injuries are why au can't sustain success. Nothing else?

I guess you agree that uga's success is sustainable.
