Frank Wilson has been let go by UTSA. That Frank Wilson. Former LSU RB coach and ace recruiter. He will be a big get for the program that picks him up.

LSU baw, think O would let him go anywhere else? Those two are like peas and carrots when it comes to recruiting. O can now worry about being more of a HC if he knows Frank is heading up recruiting. Gonna be beautiful

Why was he let go by UtSA? Seemed weird to be let go at such a small program

I would imagine his recruiting took a hit being at that school vs a p5. Recruiting was likely the biggest draw in hiring him.

He was the head coach. They lost and he was fired. That was the worst job in the country when he took it.
To the OP- you’re absolutely right.
Trust me when I say as an LSU fan he’s the only coach in the country that I think could out recruit Orgeron in Louisiana.
I can tell you that we’ve reached out and let him know that if a spot on our staff opens then it’s his.
Frank Wilson is a legend in New Orleans and has deeeep roots. People love Frank here. He dominated New Orleans for us. Anyone and everyone we wanted from Nola he got. Les would throw him on kids that he really wanted from anywhere though. Including kids like Leonard Fournette and Devin White
