Seems like a good reason to make a long-term career decision potentially affecting tens of millions of dollars in future earnings.

Go ahead and explain that one.
Good luck.

Name the highest paid QB's in the NFL. bet you can't.

Top 10.
Here's some help:
Top 10 highest Paid QB's

I see a Georgia QB at #2. I don't seem to see an Auburn QB in the top 10.

2) Matthew Stafford, $26.5 Million

It was less than a year ago that the Detroit Lions gave their quarterback a $135 million contract. Stafford only has a $9.5 million base salary this season, but he’ll also get part of his $50 million signing bonus and $6.5 million roster bonus. Stafford has been Detroit’s starter for a decade, and he’s the franchise leader in just about every important passing category.

This is college. The 15 year pro football career payday comes on the 2nd contract which is dependent on how he plays in the first one.

Kids use a lot of factors when determining a school. Where the family feels most comfortable is a huge one.

Speaking of preparing for the nfl... which school better prepares QBs? Maybe you can ask Nick Marshall.

It's been 20 years since your offensive coach produced a decent professional QB and even then he was just Joe Tiller's yes man.

We have 2 OC's now and speaking of Chaney I'm not sure he has ever had this type of talent at QB.

If Fields wanted to play QB in college and defense in the pro's, he probably would have chosen GT first and Auburn second.

The Fields' are looking for a pro-style offense. You know. To play QB in the pros.

And which NFL QB did Gus "produce"?

Thanks Carolina! Tried to tell ignorant AU fan but he wanted to live in ignorance.

As to Fields choosing school to help his pro prospects and also comparison to Cam - Fields is not Cam.

1) Not as big
2) Better Passer
3) Much Smarter
4) More Accurate

They aren’t the same player. While Cam has ridiculous talent, he is too stupid to ever be consistent in the NFL and he will always be hot & cold.

Fields is a much more conventional QB, that can run but only when needed.

Lol Cam is a better NFL player than literally anyone Georgia has in the league.

I wonder why he isn't being paid as high as Stafford, then? That seems odd. Also, how do you compare RB and WR with a QB? Impossible to do, so nobody knows, do they?

I counted two higher than Cam - Gurley & AJ and then Stafford just a few spots behind.

Bad day for Phan...

So a coach who has never coached a successful dual threat QB vs. a coach who coached the best one to ever play the game. Not too smart.

Says the man who can't figure out that Fields wants to be a pro style qb and not a dual threat qb.

The athletic QBs that last in the NFL are those that know when to get out of bounds and mostly just use their legs to extend plays. Fields knows this and he made the right call.
