Yes he did and yes it will. They are very very good friends and has been said that they want to play ball together. So if this is true either Carter is coming to LSU or Perry is going to Bama or they are not going to play together in college, does that make sense?

Perry was an unknown commodity for the most part until this summer camp circuit

You guys take Carter from bama and let AU have Broussard. Win/win, thanks.

I don't see what everyone has to fuss about so much. LSU targets recruits in Florida and Texas a LOT. Losing a kid from LA is fine. There's a lot of talent in the state, and kids want to play and not have to compete against other 4 and 5 stars. Let em go. And Alabama recruits? frick that. Auburn and Alabama are poaching them too much.
At the end of the day LSU is gonna fill voids, no matter where they have to go to do it.

Reading through this thread is hilarious.
When the kid committed to Alabama it was:
- We don't need him anyways.
- We don't want him.
- The kid doesn't have an offer/isn't a target.
- We have other kids higher up our board/better.
Now look at how things suddenly change after his friends commit to LSU.

What else would you expect from them.

We don't need him. But obviously we would/will take him.

He didn't have any offer at the time of his commitment. Obviously he was a target since he was invited to camp.

We did/do.

He is a 2016 kid...He camped and earned an offer. This happens every year. It's not like he is 2015 and we are just getting around to offering.
Kids may have been higher on the board BEFORE camp but that shite is so fluid, especially when all the staff has is a highlight tape to base opinions off of

It IS hilarious...it was equally hilarious when the same was said by Bama fans when they missed on Clowney and Fournette.

Wasn't on here for Clowney, but if Clowney was anything like Fournette... it was nothing.
None of us thought we'd get him except Bucc.
This thread is even more entertaining when the guys above you deny it.... yet this entire thread got this long because of exactly what I said.
Just wait till Shyheim says he's 100% Bama. The narrative will turn to back to those four points I posted.
If he shows any interest in LSU, the new narrative will be "handlers and money".

How will it turn back to those points if he has an offer and nobody can deny that, everyone wants him but we don't need him. Those are all facts.
There are very few players out there that lsu needs. Last year we needed fournette and probably Robinson or some other elite LT, Harris and dupre. Lsu is loaded at db so they have the luxury of wanting rather than needing.

No shite
If Alabama "didn't need" Fournette last year because of their amazing depth, then we for sure "don't need" Carter in '16. I would be ecstatic if we got him, though.

Honestly, I'm just not 100% sold on Carter. Sure he is a good athlete but he hasn't actually played the CB position.
Definitely can change my mind as he is only a Junior in high school now, but this season should be telling on how he truly is as a CB
