Honestly? It caught me off guard. I had not seen the Cade Mays stuff until now, but if I had, I would have been surprised he was thinking about it.
He's a Tennessee kid and wants to go home. Hard to blame him. Wish he were staying with us, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

UT means everything to his Dad (UT Alum/player), brother (current UT commit) and family (Knoxville natives). Butch Jones is the only reason that Cade isn't in Knoxville as I type this. I believe Cade was committed to UT for a year to a year and a half before Butch went 4-8 and got fired/burned every bridge on his way out of town.
I'm not saying that he will transfer or that he's even considering it, only that your arguement as to why he could leave UGA is leaving a lot of information out.

"Cade told Kirby this morning and Cade didn't put himself in the portal. He didn't want to be put in the portal. Georgia put him in the portal because they knew it would been seen as Kirby wasn't going to let Cade ride into Knoxville on a white horse to a celebration. Cade's plan was to arrive into town under the radar and be seen going to class without the fanfare."

A school can't put a kid in the transfer portal lol. This has been writing on the wall behind the scenes.....I read that the lawsuit over the finger was filed within hours of having the statue of limitations expire.

That's a silly take, imo. Can a school put a kid into the portal? I've never heard that they could, but i don't understand all of the workings.
I would think a team could encourage a kid to leave, but that would be it.
