This is kind of a head scratcher as I thought he did pretty well at OU and had a solidified starting spot.

OSU found their QB

In my opinion, not the best QB on the portal market.
Tons of names out there going to cost a lot of NIL money.

Cam Ward
Grayson Mccall
Kyle Mccord
Dillon Gabriel

Then you look at guys like Matthew Sluka - 4 year player who has great stats at a small school. Thats where the real portal finds are found. Dudes got moxy and ran for over 1200 yards the last two seasons while throwing for an efficient 20/5.

We appreciate Dillon but this is Jackson Arnold’s team now.

Would be a good grab for Lebby's first QB in Starkville.

State needs to grab him although I don't want to face him and Lebby next season.

AND OP... my guess is he's following either Lebby or Riley. Lebby and Heupel coached him at UCF.

He is supposed to visit Starkville next week but I still think he ends up at Oregon

We never get the lucky breaks

Oregon or USC.. Oregon plays in Hawaii next year which is important for him ... he also wants to go somewhere to get his draft stock higher. Venables said the plan was for him to go to NFL and OU wasnt expecting him back so he would have to compete with Jackson Arnold next year for starting qb spot. He didnt want to create any drama.

If Lebby gets him here it’ll be awesome. But to improve his stock he also needs a good OL and Receivers, and we lose a significant amount of talent in both areas this year. Lebby needs to convince him he can fill those spots with good players

Just committed to Oregon. Smart move by him.

Go to Oregon to compete for a playoff spot. Wouldn't have had that opportunity if he followed Lebby to State.

He's perfect for Oregon, tbh. I'm glad we won't face him.
