I think it's pretty obvious that State doesn't have on its current roster one of the best linebackers in the country. Is there a LB on the State roster that would start over Patrick Willis as a sophomore? lulz. That's what people think of when they think "best in the country." Not the 2* that should have been a 4*.

Apples to oranges. Nice try. Yes -- if a guy is the first or second LB off the board in the NFL draft, he was one of the best returning linebackers in the country. Nice job digging 3 coaches into your history finding someone that can stack up to our current 2* at the position though.

quote:

Now does State have one of the best freshman DL I've ever seen? Probably. I'll give you guys that one.

AND I KNOW there are tons of hand picked diamonds starting for you guys but wow, 6-6 and an improbably egg bowl win at home doesn't mean they're worth a crap. You guys played Rice in the Liberty Bowl and destroyed them. That's great. Tell me an SEC team (bowl-eligible or not) that wouldn't.

Yet they were ranked higher than the team that you squeaked by in the Music City Bowl. Explain that one to me. Hell, every SEC team worth their salt would have beaten their Georgia Tech's arse. So that tells us what, exactly? Ah -- it's "diminish MSU --- Dak really isn't worth a crap -- yes, he was carrying a pace to put up over 600 yards of offense against us in a whole game -- but it's just luck!!1!1 NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!!1!1"

Hope the "6-6 lol" shite makes you feel better. We only lost over 100 starts due to injury on a VERY young team that brings back everyone of consequence outside of a left guard. But you already know what's coming next -- hence why you are taking the potshots while you can.

quote:

Call it sour grapes if you want to but I would take Ole Miss' roster 10 times out of 10 EVEN IF it doesn't match up well with Mississippi State's on a yearly basis. Winning the Egg Bowl is awesome but not as awesome as beating teams like LSU.

Then that makes you a moron. But I'm glad you beat LSU that one time their QB had a terrible game in your house. What position, exactly, are you better than us at currently? WR--MAYBE?

quote:

I guess I'll just be "that guy" but your head coach is satisfied and has you guys satisfied with beating a team you guys constantly tell isn't worth a single solitary crap while losing to almost everybody else over and over and over.

Yet we've beaten every team in the SEC except South Carolina, LSU, and Alabama under this regime. Oh -- I guess the new guys get that mantle for one more year.

This "terrible" Mississippi State team finished where in the standings? Oh -- that's right -- ahead of you for the 4th straight year.

quote:

Congrats on winning 4 out of the last 5 Egg Bowls and may the odds be ever in your favor (although that's impossible because you recruit against Sun Belt teams BUT 4 OUT OF 5)

Yet here we are with the Heisman darkhorse QB, arguably the best returning LB in the country, what could easily end up being the best overall player in the country regardless of position, and we bring back EVERYTHING. Yep, crootin is catching up with us and dark days lie ahead at MSU!!1!1

Wanna check that 2015 class ranking for me again?

Seems like you are on the opposite side of what a lot of scouts are saying.

Also I quit reading after this

They actually aren't fighting over Leo Lewis. BTW, he stays in State.

God you're miserable.

And a huge dumbass. I mean, do idiots like yourself not learn anything? State has repeatedly lost recruits down the stretch the last few years and what are you doing right now? Pounding your chest about NSD 2015. It's rich.

Could engie form an argument without constantly creating straw men? Could any of us? Recruiting is so dumb.

Yeah -- we're really struggling with the talent level on campus.

Yeah. Mullen in year 5 compiled the same record that Freeze did in year 1 coming off a 2-10 season. #winning

ETA: We're all just throwing shite at the wall hoping something will stick so we'll feel better for a little while. The truth is LOL @ Landmass football. Y'all take care.

Not sure this means anything. Mullen compiled a better record in year 2 than Freeze did, in case you needed another useless fact.

Edit: I'm not even sure how you people are arguing McKinney's status. He is one of the best returning defensive players in the nation, and it really isn't up for debate. Will he be as good as P-Willy? Who knows, but saying that he isn't a great player, because he may not be as good as your best defensive player of all time and a future NFL hall of famer, is silly.
