••• 2 out of the top 3 defensive ends in the country by ESPN and/or 3 out of the top 12. Also equals 3 out of the top 7 in the Southeast.
••• 2 out of the top 4 Edge players in the Southeast by in the 247 composite
••• 3 out of the top 8 cornerbacks in the Southeast in the 247 composite
••• 3 out of the top 5 inside linebacker in the country in the 247 composite, which also adds up to 3 out of the top inside 4 linebackers in the southeast.
••• 2 out of the top 5 tight ends in the Southeast in the 247 composite
••• 3 out of the top 8 inside linebackers in the country by Rivals
••• 2 out of the top 5 defensive tackles in the country (Rivals), assuming Jordan Hall signs today like he's supposed to.
...Aside from those positions, there wasn't a lot of cherry picking. Georgia's recruiting pedigree at offensive lineman has taken a step back in the last few years. There were a few seasons when we had like 5 5 star offensive linemen and next year we'll have 1.

The OL classes as a whole haven't been as good the last couple of years due to stacking the room with lots of young talent. There's a logjam for young OL to see the field.
Next year's group looks very strong and we're already the outright leader for 2 of the top 5 OL in the country.

Dawgs aren't done at TE either.

It's all subjective and not saying you're wrong, but I'm not sure about all of the young talent. The 1 5-star we'll have on next years roster will be shopping for agents and places to train for the Combine in 12 months (Mims), which means that unless we sign some 5-stars on the OL in the next class we'll be fresh out of 5-stars.

OL recruiting was affected by an overstacked depth chart and just some down overall talent in nation the last few years on OL.
The state of Georgia has a lot of OLine talent coming up it of High School in 2024 and UGA sits well there with those top recruits - there is plenty of talent to field a competitive line in 2023 but it will be down some for sure with Broderick Jones, Sedrick Von Pron Granger and Warren McClendon likely leaving.

No troll, who's the money man for UGA?
Or is it more of a group of money men?

just cycles.
Even Georgia is not always gonna get top recruits if you have super established entrenched starters who will be there multiple years.

UGA is a lot like UF, and fortunate for both. They have a few billionaire donors and a lot of 9 figure guys. None of them crave the spotlight.
UGA used to have a guy named Don Leeburn who was kind of a blowhard. He owned GA Crown which was at the time the largest liquor distributor in the south. But he’s out of the picture now.

Most of us alums knew Leebern as Gym Dogs coach Suzanne Yoculan's boyfriend (although I think he was still married at the time). I think they are now married.
