My wife wanted to get a miniature pig for a pet one day. We heard they were really smart, which it was. However, it did...'pig' things. Rutted through sheet rock on the wall, liked to get out and wallow in mud and no matter how much pig cologne she put on it, it smelt like a pig. She couldn't figure it out until I explained it to her one night. No matter what you try to do, the one fact remains...it's a pig.
My point? The rant is full of a bunch of juvenile, immature, bad-attitude, sarcastic, posters that are plagued with little-man's syndrome and they are just naturally mean-spirited, condescending and evil. Now, expecting them to come over to this board and act like decent, mature, intelligent, good natured, sportsmen to talk about the great sport of college football is like my wife putting perfume on the pig. It won't work, because...well, because, that's what they are. A pig is a pig. Not everyone over there is like that, but the ones that are bad posters over there, chances are, they're gonna be bad posters over here. JMHO.

Trust me, I’ve seen other posters get banned and make an alter and be back after a short time.

You’re definitely new. It’s worked here for a long time. I get what you’re saying but this board has generally been damn good about keeping it to recruiting discussion. If that wasn’t true I wouldn’t have started the thread.

This is 100% correct. i have seen posters that do nothing but troll act civilly and have great conversations on this board. Bitter rivals (team wise) have talked civilly and gotten along. It's been surreal at times.
In all honesty, I have also seen some bad trollers be a little more slick with their trolling, but as a whole it's been a safe haven.

I agree with you and Rocky. This is definitely one of the best boards in terms of the low number of troll comments.

You know why the trolls that do shite talk, shite talk? It’s because they don’t have a clue what they are talking about. Too lazy or incapable of doing just a bit of research to have an informed discussion.
Their credibility in other threads where they hope to be taken seriously? ZERO.

100% agree. Thats why I love this recruiting board its all recruitment talk and no trolling. Have seen a few trollikg posts creep in lately and hope it goes away as its hard fo find a place without it. There are tons of other boards here to do that and hope this one stays troll free. I mostly just read but do post in a few where my school is in the hunt for a recruit. Some great info here.

It’s too far gone. tRant is a website centered around trolling and this board is an extension of that. This board would need to move to a separate website or the mods would need to start banning people if this were to become a troll free board

Historically it will creep in on some hotly contested recruits, then melt away. Trolls don't like serious talk, so they come in here, troll a bit then leave. Hopefully it will happen again. There really is no reason we can't each share what we are hearing and not be called names or ridiculed for repeating what we hear.

Agree. Top recruits do get more run and thus more wild rumors and trolling. Every teams fans has its own “insiders” and thus can lead to different intel. NW is the top recruit in the country this gets more talk and rumors.
