I'm not naive. But at least I'm not as enormously stupid as idiots like you and your upvoters who obviously believe so many top CFB recruits and their parents are dishonest people seeking and taking lucre that Alabama can't possibly sign a great class of top recruits by being honest. 
Whether y'all believe it or not, it actually is quite possible to become highly successful by doing the right things for the right reasons. In fact, a lot of top recruits and their parents are seeking that kind of CFB program.
Maybe Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU and UGA fans can chime in on the merits of your hot take -- why pay-for-play is the better way, why it's so worth it.

Who said this? Show me in this thread where someone said "most, if not all top recruits are dishonest". YOU are the one that specifically named several recruits (Arik Gilbert, McKinley Jackson, Shemar Turner, etc.) that were apparently paid off, so it seems YOU think most top CFB recruits and their families are dishonest.

I must admit to my overstatement. I've corrected it (edited above) -- and my point remains intact. Maybe now you won't miss my point. Tbh though, I don't have much confidence in that, since you said that my naming a few recruits with alleged dishonesty in their recruitments seems to mean I think most top CFB recruits and their families are dishonest.

This thread is getting off topic. Back to actual recruiting, what are the other fan bases feeling? I thought LSU was out of it, and A&M was getting him. Is there some doubt now? Is Bama able to make room?

Alabama has one spot left and it isn't for Thomas.
He missed his chance when we flipped JoJo Earle.
Best of luck to him wherever he goes.
I think he's staying home FWIW.

Obviously not as asinine as you. Did I say A&M has to pay more any more than anyone else does? Tbh, I couldn't care less about A&M's facilities, knobjobs network, gay milkmen yell leaders, 12th man, near-empty trophy case, or how much they pay their coaches and players.
