Alabama lost a QB transfer under similar circumstances. He was a grad transfer but was leaving East Carolina under the belief he was transferring closer to home (he’s from Mississippi). He backed out and went to Washington State.

He never officially enrolled at UW so he was never a student there.......Just a hella long recruitment that required a release from his NLI.
