Because Bone, who does not work for a university, thinks that Hammond is better. That's all it means.
I haven't seen a video for him. The only one I have seen was a game where he had like four catches for like 50 yards.

Gadsden still has a run based offense, last I checked. Or did when Dre and Jerrell were there.

They do, BJ had like 39 catches for 740 yds and 8 TDs last year.
FWIW he said that Dre gave him advice on his recruitment.
