Or maybe an oft-overlooked school in rural Texas isn't quite the draw you think.

that is great, did you have any confidence in your defense at the end of games or were you just hoping JFF could hold you in it?

In 2012? PLENTY of confidence.

In the Florida game, the offense didn't cross the 50 in the second half and the defense gave up all of 10 points. The only time Sumlin's Aggies allowed less than 21 points and LOST.

Down 27-17 to Ole Miss in the 4th and didn't allow a point. Defense sealed the game with a pick.

La. Tech game was a PERFECT example of the lack of depth. Led 27-0 and almost lost it.

Defense held LSU to 24 points. Offense did not do what it needed, but still were in a position to win at the end. fricking Bertolet cost A&M 7 points in a 5 point loss.

Up 28-0 on Auburn before they knew what hit them.

Up 31-0 on Mississippi State before they knew what hit them.

Up 20-0 on Alabama and held on for the win. Bertolet cost us another 5 points.

Up 47-0 on SHSU before the 2nd string defense came in.

Up 42-0 on Missouri before they knew what hit them.

Up 14-13 on Oklahoma and forced 5 straight 3 and outs while building a 28 point lead.

Haha, people can't stop talking about A&M...

Yep, it A&M is such small potatoes that people keep spending time on message boards explaining that they aren't noticing A&M.

Ya, he is a terrible coach.

Your dedication is admirable. Although I think you may have blinders on.

I am off work now though. Goodbye.

Well, I will admit that your rise to relevance has given ESPN a new program to do some features on. They're probably pretty worn out doing those on the rest of us for the past couple of decades, so it is refreshing to bring a new school to light. Like Boise State or Baylor.

Strong is a good coach, but in absolutely the wrong situation.

they have no defensive line talent, a very mediocre QB, and very little skill position talent. I'm not counting on them to have a great year

No no no. A&M is this poor wittle cow college in the middle of butt frick nowhere who shouldn't even field a football team when moving into the big bad SEC

Texas has the following quarterbacks on the roster:

-David Ash (one more hit and it's "light's out")
-Tyrone Swoops (1-9 record his senior year in 1A ball)
-Trey Holtz (walkon from Florida)

If they're relying on a true freshman to save the program, they're in deep shite.

They have the following defensive tackles on the roster:

-Paul Boyette (RS SO)
-Marcus Hutchins (RS JR moved from OLine)
-Hassan Ridgeway (RS SO moved from DE)
-Malcom Brown (JR)
-Alex Norman (RS SO)
-Desmond Jackson (SR)

four pure defensive tackles and only signed one over the last three classes. For a 4-3 defense, that's BAD

I'm not reading a 17 page thread so I don't know if it's been covered, but if any of you had paid attention over the past 2 years elite Texas high school recruits don't want to play in the Big 12 when there's a SEC team in Texas. A&M's competition for recruits is LSU and Bama in Texas, not Texas and OU.

Texas signed 5 (FIVE) of the top 30 players in Texas in 2014. Who wants to travel to Ames, Manhatten, Lawrence, Lubbock, Stillwater, Morgantown and Waco when you don't have to?

Ok.
