Not screwed. Just more of the same with the ceiling being 10-2 and no SEC championship.
Texas A&M can come in with horrible past 5 year record and recruit much better than Arkansas.

One player does not make a recruiting class. I was happy about our class before this, I'm still happy.
I'll use 24/7 as my proxy. I think we have a few guys that are underrated by them based on scouting reports by other services. Taiwan Johnson, D Wise, D Roberts, and J Winston should all by 4 stars, IMO. But that doesn't really mean much.
Look at it this way. We have 9 players within 5 basis points of being 4 stars on 24/7. Now imagine that Arkansas contributed as many athletes/subscribers to these services as Alabama, Texas, Florida, etc...those kids would get re-evaluated. THey don't, as it is. So I don't trust these servives at all, really. Good indication? Sure. Be all, end all? Nope.
Like I said earlier. Recruiting, Development, Coaching. I can stand being good at recruiting if our development/coaching are top notch...which they are. Otherwise, our recruiting is severely underrated. That's the ONLY way to justify our success the last 2 years. It's not like Petrino's been getting top 10 classes and just started sucking the last 2 years.
It's his system that gives us a chance. It's the coaching. it's the S&C program. It's the plan. If you can't understand that and are going to fly off the handle when we don't sign a top 10 class every year, you might as well kill yourself now and spare yourself the agony, because it'll never happen with consistency.

And, I'm not basing my opinion of the class on stars. I'm looking at who OUR COACHES wanted and who we got. Don't know what the problem is, but we are sucking hindtit no matter how you cut it.
Can Petrino do more with less? Apparently, yes. It sure would be easier to more with more.

Lack of coaching not talent. Ours is lack of talent not coaching.
It was very obvious while in Tuscaloosa this year Alabama has much better talent and does LSU.
Odds say 2 loses every year to those teams until something changes.

Are ceiling is 10-2 because of what? No DGB? we've won before without him or 5* recruits. Our defense has improved and we won't ever be a slouch on Offense.

Tennessee is Arkansas yet they won the SEC with high classes and same in-state talent base.
Our recruiting isn't that good after 4 years in.
