actual irony here. we finished top 5 with classes "ranked" about the same and often worse. yet these classes are not close to being good enenough for a top 5 ranked team.

Oh...so ya'll are excited about this class? Not saying there won't be some good players, but there's no reason not to be a little disappointed.

1) I come in peace - I clicked on the thread because I was curious to see how your fanbase would react having lost out on DGB
2) It sucks losing out on a highly coveted guy that you wanted and it definitely changes the fan perceptions of the class when you lose one you thought you had - but it really isn't as bad as all that
3) You fanbase isn't the only one full of catastrophe syndrome on a day like today. As an outsider I see most of you guys like what LSU recruited but a lot of the LSU fans are pissed off because we didn't get a couple guys we wanted (esp LC from in state - the biggest in state loss since McKnight to USC)
4) In the new SEC I think Arkansas could get better and better slowly over time. Texas recruiting should be better for Arkansas, LSU, and A&M (probably at the cost of OU and other schools) with the SEC moving into the neighborhood.
5) You guys have a very good head coach and what I view as a probable 4-5 year window with him to try and win the SEC or more. Yes, it may be an uphill battle with Alabama, LSU, Florida etc in the way but it always is if you have hopes of a SEC or national championship

Who is in our division? Did Auburn win the SEC with 28th ranked classes, no. Did Tennessee, no. Did Georgia, no. Did Florida, no.
We need better recruiting coordinators. Texas A&M did a Much better job than us and it had nothing to do with 2011 play on the field.

Those guys that do recruiting rankings make less than I make. I teach for crying out loud. They make around 28-29k a year. LMAO
If they were such great eyes for talent, they'd be gettin paid 200-250k to be a position coach and lead recruiter at a big D1.

We are following the Tennessee model but didn't execute in the recruiting category.
Some of us are proud of each and every kid who signed with us today. Afterall they are about to do something that most of us have only dreamed about all our lives.....play football for the University of Arkansas.

We have a good class here. DGB would have been nice but we aren't screwed like some "fans" think.
