There it is.... Best of luck to him if true. I really hope he does well. I'm glad he found a good spot.

Do you really have to be logged in to watch the press conference? It wont let me register.

Thanks man. I really hope we get this kid. I'm not a huge fan of the whole grey shirting deal. Never really understood why a kid with offers to somewhere else big time would take that.
Tidehater just posted that he saw a pic of the signed letter to Arky.

It's listed as 'premium' content, so I would think so. No idea, I wasted money on it to watch some of those untelevised basketball games in November.

@HABOTN: Auburn now says it offered 4-year scholarships to today's signees, can't have it revoked due to athletic performance

They're trying to combat Alabama on the recruiting trail, and play up "oversigning" and "cutting" when recruiting a kid's parents.

Its a smart move. Should have thought of it earlier.

Could help them or it could hurt them. You really never know how a recruit will pan out.

that is very risky
Eh, not really.
Kids who suck and never see the field will still end up transferring.

It's obvious what it is on the surface, but like you stated, it doesn't change anything that would happen under a one-year renewable scholarship.

It's interesting. The Big10 is encouraging them, and the Buckeyes are offering them.
They HAVE to find a way to get out of them if a player isn't performing. I wonder if sociology is going to get harder.

I guess so. Still glad we don't do it

"When I was in school, they offered 4 year scholarships, but it casused all kinds of problems...(basically says schools would find a way to process them anyway.) That's why we switched to 1 year scholarships. I think these comments come from people cynical about whether or not coaches have the players' best interest in mind. I resent that..."
