Even if we have to bring in a lightly recruited kid who is a 3 or 4 year project it would be better than nothing.
I agree.. & I think it will be tough for us to steal Pollard away from MSU anyway.

Are we looking at any JUCO bigs?
We have to be. There is simply no way that our staff could have confidence in a three man post rotation of Jacobs, Gueye, and Carl. We need at least one more guy that we could use to rotate in with them, even if it's a few minutes a game.

Engstrom did look pretty good in very limited action against Auburn. But then again, Chubb scored like 8 points in the first 5 minutes and then didn't score for the rest of the game, didn't grab any rebounds, and turned the ball over 4 or 5 times.

Carl playing 20 minutes a game would make me

Dan also just said that UGA is Mostella's favorite at the moment. Pearson has been recruiting him the hardest.

recruits aren't gonna save you from the beat down we give you Saturday. You're officially on upset alert:
Crap. Thought I was on the SEC Rant. Oh well, what I said still stands.

Today our coaches watched Jaren Sina, DeAndre Bembry, Isaiah Watkins, Jared Nickens, Isaiah Briscoe, Tyler Ennis, Tyler Roberson & Hakim Saintil according to some recruiting guys on twitter.

Cant believe how this class turned out! After our great recruiting class last year we were soo close on soo many. Would be great to have Cauley and Hunt right now!

I think he is useless, with very little upside.
His obvious lack of athletic ability and basketball skills is not his only negatives. With his size, if he simply understood to concepts on defense and offense, he could contribute. He is out of position constantly, that is a huge liability for a team trying to play pressure D.

Don't understand why he was not retained by Grant, unless it was Pearson's decision. They guy knows Bama/MS recruiting as well as anyone.
Is Pettway allowed to recruit? He seems like a natural fit at the recruiting game.

He is our main recruiter for everyone once they get on campus, but I don't think he's allowed to recruit off campus. Brannen is our lead recruiter for most guys.

Latest Pollard update from scout

The McDonald’s All-American is also mixing in college visits when he has an opportunity. He recently visited a pair of Big 12 schools. “His last visit was Missouri and he’s already visited with Texas and he took an official visit there,” Andrews said. “He’s planning later on this month to go to Georgetown,” he added. “I believe it’s the last weekend of the month.” Pollard is also considering Kentucky, Mississippi State and Alabama. “Last we thought he’s still planning on going to Kentucky and to do an official visit with Alabama,” Andrews said. “He’s definitely going to visit with Alabama and probably Kentucky. He’s going to go to Mississippi State and Alabama for sure.” “We are going to keep an open mind and visit the campuses and see which one feels like home,” he added.

He moved to Alabama's ESPN site. I guess it became official today.

If he had went to 247 they wouldve had this recruiting thing on lock. Rivals messed him up anyway when it was just tidesports he kept the bball info coming.
