Pollard was in Starkville Saturday for our game that we won vs West Virginia and had a Blast. He was seen hanging out with Rodney Hood, and MSU commitment Gavin Ware after the game.

Heard this too. I think this was his 2nd or 3rd game to be at. Hood recruiting for us

2014 PG/SG Kendall Crute lists Alabama as his favorite right now. "The Alabama visit was awesome. It was hard for us to find a seat and the fans were amazing. I've never experienced anything like that before," Crute said. "Alabama is probably my favorite so far. I really loved the people down there at the campus and from what I've seen on TV, Coach Grant is a great coach. I think they will making a few runs for titles pretty soon, so Alabama is my favorite right now."

Not true. This past summer he was at basketball and football camp at Starkville and has been to multiple MSU games this season. Heck he even came to our game we played in Jackson.

Yep. There's a group of 4 or 5 of those 2014 kids that are all good and play on the team. Their AAU coach/handler is fond of our program. I hope it stays like that.

Here's an extremely small interview with 2013 commit Shannon Hale: LINK

We need to recruit bigs badly. We aren't going to have anyone in the post next year if Gueye doesn't work out. I've basically given up on Engstrom at this point. He just doesn't have any basketball skills.

I think Pollard is our top target and he could combo between the 3 and 4. It'd really help us if Mitchell stays and we could use any combination of Gueye, Jacobs, Mitchell, and a recruit. I'm thinking we have Tevin Glass and Demetrius Henry as backup plans to Pollard, but I could be wrong.

Do we really have a legit shot at Pollard? Seems like any kid worth a shite from Mississippi always ends up at State even if he has offers from places like UNC, UK, Cuse, etc. I just wish we could find some 6'10"-7' kid who can go in and be a rebounding machine.

I think us and MSU are his top two. It's extremely hard to get a guy out of Mississippi though. Our backup plans are 6'8, but extremely skinny. There isn't a 6'10 guy out there for this class that's interested in us I don't think unless we find a juco. Jimmie Taylor fits that description in 2013 though. Shannon Hale is also 6'7 and could still be growing.

I have been told that State has Pollard. Our whole staff was on hand to watch him play at a MLK classic game on Monday. The buzz around the gym was that State/Bama are his top two with state leading.

Calloway won they have 3 D1 players

Pollard had 14 and 14 with 4 blocks

Malik Newman had 23 including 4 threes. Kid is legit.

I think both sides feel very confident at the moment. It'll probably come down to who can sell themselves best to his mom.

Word is she had a good conversation with Stans and his wife Meo at the game Monday.

I'm more confident about Pollard than I've ever been after talking to people Monday.
