FYI..on the Texas side I'm also hearing that he is struggling with the decision. No real indications of him leaning a certain way although one of our b-ball insiders said that If he had a guess he thinks it is Bama.

Looks like this latest delay is due to LSU and Robert Kirby. I dismissed this when I first heard about it, and still have a hard time believing LSU will be able to get involved this late.
It appears to be true, however.

The link you provided on the LSURB didn't say that his announcement delay was due to LSU.

The stuff I've seen said he's sticking with these 4 schools. No one knows though. He very well could be considering LSU, I just don't think so.

This was on April 28th:
Honestly don't buy it, but for perspective exctly what is the LSU side hearing on this?
quote:
Yesterday, the buzz going through the gym,was did you hear about assistant coach Robert Kirby leaving Georgetown and accepting the assistant coaching job at LSU? Yes, I did.
As a matter of fact, coach Kirby was to be introduce with the other two assistant coaches Shawn Forrest and Charlie Leonard that were on LSU head coach Johnny Jones staff at North Texas yesterday, but it did not happen.
Coach Jones and coach Kirby are long time friends… Johnny said he is looking to put LSU basketball back to the glory days it once had under former head coach Dale Brown who Jones played for and coached next to for so many years.
Right now, it looks like coach Jones is slowly putting the parts together with his coaching staff and he is focus on getting the right players in the basketball program.
By hiring coach Kirby this will give LSU an opportunity to get another Mr. Basketball from the state of Mississippi in 6’8 SF/P McDonald All-American Devonta Pollard from Kemper County HS to take look at the LSU basketball program. XOFan.com has learned that Devonta has one official visit left to take. Will LSU get his final official visit, or will he pick from the schools currently on his list?
Coach Kirby is a master recruiter. He recruited Pollard while at Georgetown and Mississippi State and the Pollard family knows him well… Coach Kirby is reason enough why Devonta and his family should consider looking at LSU.
XOFan.com got word on the same day we broke the story that Devonta would decide on which school he would sign with, that he was going to cut two schools from his list. So far,we have not heard who got cut from his list. The schools on his list now are Alabama,Georgetown,Missouri and Texas.

What are the Missouri folks that have been posting in this thread hearing now?
Confidence is waning. We have a couple backup options on campus this weekend.

Let's just say he's considering considering LSU.

Jaren Sina, the 6-foot-1 point guard out of Gill St. Bernard’s in New Jersey made the switch this spring to Team Final on the EYBL circuit and the added exposure paid off with a Big East offer this past week.
“Pittsburgh offered me last week after the Nike EYBL,” said Sina.
Sina, who is coached by his father Mergin Sina at Gill St. Bernard’s was once committed to Alabama. The Crimson Tide remain involved but have plenty of company in the competition for his services.
“Northwestern, Pitt, Stanford, Rutgers, Cincinnati, Penn State, Alabama, Butler are all involved,” said Sina. Alabama and Northwestern as well as Penn State there all coming at me pretty hard.”
Ina ddition to the three coming at Sina the hardest, he mentioned three others schools specifically when asked where he might plans visits in the near future.
“I’m probably visiting Pitt, Michigan [and] maybe Villanova.”
Sina produced 10 points and 14 assists in the all-star game contest Saturday night, sharing game MVP honors with Jermaine Lawrence.
