One poster on BOL said that a poster on TOS posted "Pollard to Bama. If not, I'll never post again". He said he had a high post count so he didnt think he was trolling but didnt know about his credibility either so TIFWIW. One guy responded in the thread on BOL asking him what his handle was but he hasnt responded and his offline apparently. I'll keep watching the thread.
Also, I sent Boots and Dixie a PM to see if they could find out anything. They are usually spot on with their info. They were the ones calling Collins to Bama and the TJ Yeldon flip

Anyone know where Willy Kouassi and his buddy are going? I don't want them at Bama at this point, just curious what Knox has in mind for them.

Yeah I saw that guy's post on Tidesports. I have no idea why he's so confident. Someone on tiderinsider basically said the same thing.

Spoke with Baton Rouge (La.) Scotlandville 2013 big man Damian Jones (6-9, 220) in Hampton over the weekend and he said Alabama and Oklahoma State are coming on strong.
Jones is a kid that really helped himself over the weekend. Playing alongside Julius Randle, he had a lot of eyes on him and really played well. Spotted Anthony Grant taking a look at him on Sunday.
He's very long, very active and a pretty advanced skill set for his size on the offensive end. Worked the pick and roll really well from what I saw and knocked down his FTs when he got fouled.
Went for 20 points (8 of 10), 8 rebounds and 6 blocks in a win Saturday. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Bama ramp up its interest and extend an offer soon.

I wonder do these "handlers" ever realize that they are hurting these kids more than helping them. I just wish Grant would do like Bruce Pearl would do and offer the whole country scholarships lol.

BJ Houston signed with Alabama A&M if anyone cares.

He will be good for them

What's the buzz on Pollard? Hearing a lot of wierd stuff, most of it contradictory. Georgetown's out. Alabama's out. Texas feeling strong. Alabama leads. Strange.
Unfortunately for us, I have heard no credibile info that LSU is involved.

That's probably because he and his family are playing this extremely close to the vest.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I hope you guys get him (unless LSU lucks up and gets him).

A lot of Mizzou fans feeling confident about Pollard.
A poster on PM said he talked to a guy who knows Pollard's mom. FWIW

I think Texas, Mizzou, and Alabama fans feel confident. I sent a PM to Brian Snow who writes for scout and he says he still thinks it's Alabama, but none of them really have a clue.

I don't get Mizzou and Texas. All us State fans ever heard was that he wanted to stay close to home which would have been State or Bama.
I think there is some shady stuff going on here

HAMPTON, Va. – While the Alabama Challenge has struggled to a 3-6 record through the first two stops of the Nike-EYBL, Greensboro (Ala.) East big man Jimmie Taylor certainly hasn't made it easy on opponents.
Standing 6-foot-10 and sporting a 7-6 wingspan, Taylor patrolled the paint to the tune of 8.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game through five games over the weekend.
Afterward, Taylor listed a top five that consisted of Alabama, Georgetown, Kentucky, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. All but the Wildcats have offered and some feel as though the homestate Crimson Tide may have the inside track in the early going.
Taylor, whose cousin, Erwin Dudley, suited up for Alabama and was SEC Player of the Year in 2002, said he's giving the Crimson Tide a long, hard look.
"I think about it a whole lot," Taylor said. "I like Alabama and their campus and everything but I have to make the best decision for me and if it takes leaving home I will."
In addition to his top five, Taylor says other schools are upping the ante on their interest as well.
"Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Louisville is coming hard, Illinois just started recruiting me Thursday. They offered me a scholarship."
Scouting Report: Much like a stud linebacker in football, Taylor is a player that you have to account for on the defensive end. You better know where he is. Taylor is constantly lurking around the basket, blocking shots and affecting countless others. He is athletic, runs the floor like a gazelle and is only beginning to scratch the surface of how good he can really be. His offensive game also looked like it took a step forward in Hampton.

Why do you keep saying this when there is no evidence it's the case?

Q: When is Devonta Pollard announcing and is he coming to Alabama?
G.O.: To answer the first part of your question, I’m not 100 percent sure when he plans to announce his decision. I talked to a source close to Pollard who believes it will either be at the end of this week or early next week. Pollard has essentially shut down communication with coaches and the media while he makes his decision. As for Alabama’s chances, I think the Tide have a good shot to land Pollard. The biggest advantage for UA, more so than the proximity from home, may be the relationship developed with coach Anthony Grant.
