Tevin Harris signed with Cal State-Bakersfield.

Ha yeah. I posted about it on the last page. I'm pretty sure he didn't make the trip here. I'm glad we didn't offer if he couldn't even get an Iona offer.

Eric Bossi on Rivals had a recruiting run down and threw out that Mississippi State and LSU were trying to get back in it with Pollard. I don't think there is any truth to the LSU talk, it's just too late. I think he was just spitballing.

He did add that he could not see him going anywhere beyond his four finalists.

That shows how little everyone really knows about where Pollard is going. He doesn't talk to anyone really. BOL said it was down to Alabama and Texas and Greg Ostendorf said it's between Alabama and Georgetown, so no one has an idea what he's going to do.

If we miss on him this recruiting cycle will have been an unmitigated disaster. Even if we get him, it will be less than stellar. Pretty disappointing after last year.

I think it would be a pretty successful year if we got him. We didn't need a big class, in-state crop sucked, and we still got a 5 star from out of state (granted, not far away). I would still like a JUCO big along with him, but I have no idea what's going on there.

If we miss its fricking meltdown time.

Yeah if we miss, it's a complete disaster. I'll have no hope for next season. If we get him and can hopefully bring in some juco big, I'd say it was a very good recruiting class. It's amazing how one guy can change your outlook.

I suppose the other 2 scholarships didn't become open until recently, so I probably shouldn't look at it that way.

Are there any decent JUCO bigs still out there? We don't even need someone good. Just a guy who can rebound.

There are probably serviceable ones still available that could give 8-10 minutes of energy and rebounding.

I keep hearing Bama or Texas.

Texas is selling him on being the next Durrant

The sad thing is I'm sure he is eating that line of bullshite up.

He isn't even that kind of player.

I agree he isn't a Durrant type of player. However, I also think unless Grant changes his style of play that Pollard doesnt fit in your offense either. He is an up and down guy who plays in transition not a half court grind it out type of player.

If Stansbury was still at Mississippi State I'm almost 90% he would have been a bulldog. Its really up in the air. Dont count out Georgetown, his mother really likes GT Ast Robert Kirby who used to be at Mississippi State.

That's what puzzles us as well. The games where we run and gun the whole time, we're at our best. I don't understand why we ever try to play a half court game.

Martin has picked up three commits for USCe is the past two days. I think he's going to do good things for them.
