You guys are fricking crazy if you think that slowing it down at the end isnt the right way to do things. We couldnt score! No need to keep pushing it if we dont have a guy can guarantee us a bucket. I agree we do need a new offensive coordinator though. As far as that kid from Greensboro. He wont have to worry about a Kentucky offer. He isnt that good and if he gets one and does go there he wont play until he is a Junior or Senior. That kid is not a 5 star and wont be.

We could only score when we did push it though

You totally missing the point. Every play cant be a fast break. Our half court offense is terrible so if we arent on a fastbreak we need to slow it up at the end of the game if we are winning. No need to take quick shots and allow the other team to get back in it. Honestly sounds pretty selfish of Mitchell. My whole problem with him is that he only looked interested is when he was on a fast break about to make a dunk.

I don't know if our lack of getting in the paint or driving is scheme or player caused, but Releford is a driver by nature. I'm sure others are too and we NEVER drive. It sucks

Its simple its our lack of shooting. Its hard to drive when people are in zone defense the whole game. We will be ok. Cant believe how people are acting I hate our fans. We are going to miss CAG when he leaves.

I like Grant. I think he's currently the 5th best coach in the SEC(now that angry frank is here) but 3 years in and 3 shitty offensive seasons isn't a coincidence. It's a pattern. Something is wrong.

I think Grant is top 3, just hasn't had the NBA players at his disposal. I'm not worried, 1 and done is about what Bama as a program can expect on average.

Cal and Donovan are 1a and 1b. Stallings and Angry Frank are slightly better than Grant IMO

Exactly. 3 straight bad years of offense is a pattern. All it would take is a slight change in what we are trying to do. We don't need 80 points a game but it can't be a struggle trying to get to 60.

I think Martin is dirty, personally. Stallings has underachieved.

If you can't shoot its your own fault if you give the other team time to get back in a zone. Pushing the tempo at all times is the only way to score consistently if you can't shoot.

I just dont understand how our fans trip on CAG. He has been here what 3 years and CMG left him no talent. We had Juco Starters who didnt fit his style and now we are finally getting players and people start tripping.

Cal is probably dirty too, but Cal and Donovan are tops and Frank and Stallings have taken less heralded programs farther. It's close, but I give them a slight nod to be reexamined later

Everyone here is being reasonable. Our offense is shite. The first year we expected it. Year 2 it seemed strange. Year 3 is ridiculous. It isn't just that the shots aren't falling, it's the scheme. Kicking it around for 28 seconds without a drive and terrible shooting.

People gave him the benefit of the doubt BECAUSE we had a bunch of JUCO kids and Gottfried's leftovers. He got the most out of them and everyone here gives him credit for that I'm sure.

The kind of kid he appears to go after in recruiting is suited for a wide open, aggressive style of basketball on both ends of the court, but we are only aggressive on defense. Between Releford, Lacey, Steele, and Randolph we have 4 guys who can get the ball up the floor in a hurry. At any given time there should be 2 or 3 guys on the court who can get down to the other end before the other team's bigs. There is literally zero purpose in building a small, versatile, athletic lineup if you refuse to play up tempo.

Stop blaming Gottfried. This was Grant's 3rd year. It's his team. It was his team all year that performed poorly offensively.

Its really just now starting to be his team. The first year he only had a month or two to recruit and had to take Eblen because there was nothing left and 3 gottfried kids. The next year he goes out and get Releford(a steal), Jason Carter, Hankerson, and Engstrom in really his first year of recruiting. Now he shuts down the state and gets Lacey, Randolph, and Cooper. Look im not happy with the offense but to say that Gottfried isnt partly to blame with the way the team is is crazy. The last two years we have had basically no upper classmen for real and the ones that we had were from Juco besides J. Green and he acted like a freshman most of the time. I just dont get it. We go to the dance and people want him gone. SMH, we have to stop acting like this is football.

Who wants him gone? People want our offensive philosophy changed. That wouldn't be too drastic. It would involve possibly bringing in a new assistant. That's about as drastic as it would be.
