Sanction related doesn't make sense. It takes forever for the actual sanctions to be handed down and there is nothing in the current pipeline that I am aware of.

Ralston Turner makes no sense. He's not that good anyway, and Alabama is already guard heavy.

Also, he wouldn't be eligible immediately. The blurb doesn't say anything about the player being from Alabama, just that he is someone Alabama fans would be familiar with.

Just that the thing that makes the most sense is that it would be something hardship related. Like you say, I just don't think its likely that it would be sanctions.

If it was somebody out of the conference I would think it would be more likely (not sanctions-wise, just overall), but who knows.

Well if someone has 24/7, bug that guy to tell.

After further review, I'm going to go ahead and call bullshite on the thing. Either it is completely wrong, or some key facts are wrong.

I can't imagine an in-conference transfer being eligible immediately. That alone would be extremely odd. Even for a graduate or hardship, they would likely require him to go out of conference. There are no pending sactions going on. I don't think Alabama is looking for any guards, so I think that is out.

Like I said. B.S.

Yeah I don't think it's likely but anything could happen I'd guess. I don't think we'd want another guard, but if a forward were to transfer, I could see us taking him.

I agree I think it could be someone like K.T. Harrell and with that being said alot of what as said was wrong.

A guy I talked with said the staff told him this isn't true.

Renaldo Woolridge at Tennessee just got another year of eligibility and is transferring.

Could Swiperboy be our mystery recruit?

He's going to transfer to somewhere in or around L.A.

I think this whole story is probably BS. I could see us accepting a transfer from somewhere out of conference, but there's no one in the SEC who fits the profile of a guy who could and would transfer to Bama without sitting out.

It is BS unless the staff lied to Greg

I hope we don't strike out on him and Pollard.

Alex Oriahki is transferring. That would be awesome if we could convince him to come play for us his senior year. I put the odds of that happening at .00001% though.

You never know. He would start for us without a doubt. He also has expressed a desire to transfer to a team with NCAAT potential though. I'm not convinced we make it next year unless a lot of things improve on offense.

This of course is pointless speculation since we have no idea if he is even considering us, but say it happens, if he rebounds and defends like he did his sophomore year I think we could be pretty good.

Regardless of him, I think we'll be a more perimeter oriented team with Jacobs scoring 10-12 points a game down low, but what we really need is interior defense and rebounding. He obviously would fill that hole.

Again, pointless speculation as I don't even know who he's linked with, if he's linked with anyone at this point.

It would be nice to get an impact transfer for once though.
