I'm not really sure why they redshirted him. He is far more polished as a basketball player than Engstrom was coming in. He has been playing since he was a kid, whereas Engstrom had played like 1 full season before college. I don't know how strong his grasp of English is. That could be part of it, but most Europeans speak it pretty well.

We redshirted him because we have Releford, Lacey, Hank, Levi, and Eblen all ahead of him. Plus it just gave him time to get adjusted to our systems and American basketball. I wish we would have had the luxury of redshirting Carl too though.

They are not 6'5-6'6 wing players.

If Levi is 6'5 so is Lacey or 6'4!

I saw him today, with Brent Calloway actually, and he looked something like a solid 6'3 and a half or so. He was clearly 2-3 inches taller than Calloway. I'm 6'2 and he seemed around 6'4 but that might be a bit much. Not sure how tall Brent is though, he was listed at 6'1.

Oh and the obligatory

Not a good sign if Eblen can play ahead of him IMO.

Dont think him not playing has anything to do with his skill level. I mean its a good situation. He is new to over here so where else is he going to go he wont transfer.

Im telling you they are all really close to being the same size but the difference is that they are more athletic than Trevor where he is more of just a pure bball player

Walker, a 6-foot-6, 188-pound wing player from Winter Haven, Fla., made the trip to Tuscaloosa and watched as Alabama defeated Tennessee, 62-50, in Coleman Coliseum. “The visit went really well,” Walker said. “I enjoyed it. The atmosphere, the fans are die-hard fans at Alabama. I love the players I was with. I love the coaching staff. All in all, it was just a great visit.

Walker has narrowed his list to four schools: Alabama, Clemson, Florida and Kansas State. He may take a few more visits before making a final decision. The late signing period for college basketball begins on April 11.

Man I hope we can pull Walker we really could use him. Fla and Kansas St. have me worried though.

I wonder if Walker's Florida offer is conditional at all. They have three commits but I don't know how many spots they have left or who else they're going after.

Sounds like the kid of kid Kansas State recruits a lot so I suspect they're a player for him. They seem to get a lot of Florida kids.

Yeah, I know. He and Grant were on the same staff at one point for a high school team, or played on the same high school team or both.

Yeah he and Grant both have plenty of roots in Florida. That's why we got Hankerson. I think Walker would definitely be a good get. Of course we all want Pollard, but Walker is no slouch. In the perfect world we would land both players.

I believe they both played for Shaky Rodriguez.
