I listened to his interview with Ketch the day before and he seemed very humble

RSJ is set to announce on wed. at 1:30... Will be shocked if he picks anywhere else but Texas at this point. Almost seems like Texas has scripted when these kids are going to commit to keep pushing momentum for their 2nd JR day...
I don't know anything could happen I think Les is going to his game tuesday night

UT will get theirs. Either now, or at the next JR day.

I don't think they are having to "work" for it...

Seems more than likely they are using the "go home and think about it" line to kids to slow play the recruiting cycle and effectively have them commit one at a time to allow for them to each have their own media hype all the while keeping mama happy that they came home and talked it out..

Now Texas will use the "we want all of our recruits to go home and think about committing and discuss it with their family" angle more as a counter to many of the high pressure recruiting approaches seen at other schools. Now they get to suck up to the parents by having the kid delay their commitment and in effect negatively recruit on schools that are pressuring for a fast commit..

Say what you want, but Texas was the ones that helped increase the emphasis of early recruiting and Jr day commitments. They have always been great at having another angle to recruit kids. This is just one more way to do so while negatively recruiting other schools without having to say anything bad about them.

What happens now when a kid is being pressed at a JR day at a different school while having a UT visit in the pipeline? It will be in the back of his head about why are they pushing me to commit instead of letting me take my time... Kinda genius really. At worse they lose a guy here or there, but the potential benefits of having a kid get mad and distance himself from some of the high pressure recruiting schools outweigh that risk.

Texas knows they can only take a small class, so now they are going to drag it out for everyone else and hopefully they can wait it out on some of the top talent that under the old UT model (when they had plenty of scholarships) would have committed earlier.

Well, right now we have four guys who were invited to a Texas Jr. day and are now not going. So thanks.

Wilson was probably the only one we would have offered, and he's going to bolt as soon as LSU offers, so I wouldn't get too snarky yet if I were you.
