It's pretty clear he's a talent, I don't think Sumlin didn't like him as a prospect. Don't be silly.

Damn you LSU folks are sensitive. If you think you have nothing to worry about with Moses than more power to you, but it does appear he will be going to the A&M/Bama game. How is that a negative for A&M?
Also, when Sumlin went to Purdue they were a very different team. Jim Everett was the QB (#3 overall NFL pick) and Rod Woodson was on that team (NFL HOF) along with a bunch of NFL players. They used to actually care about football there.
Oh, almost forgot that for LSU fans college football did not exist prior to 2000.

That Purdue team was still pretty bad.

Not true, LSU has a championship and Heisman before 2000.
But thanks anyway

Sumlin is very conservative with giving out offers, can't see him ever giving an 8th grader an offer.
Doesn't mean he didn't think Dylan Moses wouldn't be a good player.

They have a timeline they generally stick too. They have been very aggressive with the 2017 class, probably as a result or Tate Martell, and only have a few 2018 offers out.
I really like what the staff has done now going into LA, MS, and AZ. They look to be attempting to expand into NV and CA.

I also said Dylan Moses could have started @ Purdue as a 9th grader and it's pretty factual. Dylan Moses was bigger, faster, and stronger than anything Purdue had when he was in 9th grade.
This is a real life post.

I'm sure Ed Oliver and Tyrie Cleveland will show out too.

No reason to think they would stop coming to the games.
Free 50 yard line tickets for a teenager? Can't beat that.

Bama is and will remain the only threat to LSU for Moses, has been that way all along, since he was in 8th grade. That being said, they are a very, very minute threat. He decommitted to get more attention and that's it. He will recommit back to LSU and there's little doubt on that.

The only thing predictable about recruiting is that it is unpredictable.
Commitments are nothing but glorified reservations.
You will have ulcers if you spend too much energy following recruiting.

Uh... have you seen the kid? That's not exactly a stretch. In ninth grade he was 6'1" 220 and running a legit 4.4...
There's a real concern he may have peaked early physically a la Freak Johnson, but he continues to get better.

I mean come on dude. I don't care how physically developed he was as a 9th grader, he wouldn't have started at a power 5 team. It's a ridiculous notion.

Have you seen D1 football players?
6 1 220 in ninth grade is not the same as 6 1 220 when you are 21 years old and you've been in a D1 weight program. That's how people get hurt. That's equivalent to saying Alabama could beat the Raiders or Kentucky could beat the Sixers and that nonsense

Is this your first time following recruiting? It's still months away from signing day and ANYTHING can and will happen. I mean last year you had Kyler Murray who's Dad was an AA at A&M and who was actually named after Kyle Field have a last minute flirtation with Texas after being an Aggie lock pretty much his entire life. A couple years back the Ags had a guy named Dylan Sumner Gardner that was a long time commit and an early enrollee who at the last minute decided to go to Boise State of all places in spite of never having visited or even been to the State of Idaho.
Everybody is a recruiting lock until they aren't. You can't predict the actions of 17 year old kids that are being treated like gods. Maybe Moses is just going for fun or to see Bama, that certainly is likely. Doesn't mean that he won't come to the game and be hosted by A&M and not have second thoughts, especially if the Ags win. We do have a pretty nice pad after all.

I understand what you are trying to say, but those are two horrible examples.
1) Kyler Murray wanted an opportunity to start at QB. Oregon and Texas were real contenders, especially when Charlie Strong threw his starting QB under the bus at the end of the year. There is a real possibility that Kyler could still transfer in a year or two.
2) Everybody who paid attention knew Gardner was probably not coming to A&M. 1) He committed as a "package deal" with Kam Miles. Kam Miles got kicked off the team and went to Boise State 2) I don't think he ever had an official visit to A&M. 3) His position coach and primary recruiter, accepted the job at Boise State. 4) A&M was slow to hire a replacement and the guy they hired had few ties to Texas recruiting.
