Why are you apologizing, lol it's fricking Clemson, it doesn't matter how you win. Oklahoma would get fricking torched by Clemson by 50 points right now
A lot of teams probably would get torched by them, and we completely shut them down. But, I do believe if we are going to compete in the playoffs (or even make them) we need to open up the offense.

It is the first game of the season. No one can say this with certainty. Clemson’s offense might be FSU 2017. When they were ranked #3 but ended up sucking due to oline issues.

Wait....you guys can say they are bad with certainty, but nobody can say they are good with certainty?
Wow. I didn't realize that was the way it works.

Can we base it off recent history? How about star ratings?
Hey. This is a conversation best for the Rant and not the recruiting board.

Luther needs to take a look at Pickens

That he's out with an ACL? Or that we had to start a former walk-on at QB for ~half of last season and he was the top target still?
There's a lot of criticism to go around for the UGA offense of 19 and 20, but might be a good idea to at least try to see what UGA's offense in 2021 looks like on the whole before you try and use 2 previous years as the indicator.
I have no idea what our offense will look like this season... Certainly expected to see more than we put on in the opener... but when you're starting Ladd McConkey and former walk-on Jaylen Johnson is getting snaps and targets at WR, and your leading receiver is freshman TE Brock Bowers, I think it's pretty clear that we were not working with the full offense. I'll reserve judgement at least a couple of weeks.
Most of these kids are simply not moved by one game either direction. Have to think he'll be taking the long view, regardless of where he ends up.

Probably, but you don't risk that in the first game against Clemson if you don't have to and you didn't. Also saves the playbook.

How many more years does Kirby need his OC to do that?

You realize that Pickens is likely to go in the first round of the NFL Draft, right?

But....AGAIN...nobody is saying Georgia is even leading. We are saying we are in it and that from what we are hearing Mizzou leads.

With that said....what is your point?

Fine. Looks at
Pickens
Burton
MRJ
Dominick Blaylock
Kearis
Arian Smith
All top 100 WR’s
And yet Ladd mconkley is on the field with a walk-on?

And that's a legit point. I don't think we were saving the playbook against Clemson, but I do believe we went a bit more conservative so we did not give up an easy TD to Clemson like they did to us.
And, I hate to belabor this point to the Alabama and Oklahoma fan, but we think Mizzou is in the lead and not us. Why those two insist on making this about our offense is beyond me.

Pickens was out
Blaylock was out
Jackson played only punt returns because of injury and the others played.

Alabama injuries are down due to their S&C program. Kirby may want to take a look at what they are doing.
What happened to the other three?

I agree with this. This thread has too much arguing. Recruiting threads are best when they are full of news and analysis of what those developments mean.

Luther Burden Stats
Oh and he had 4 rec for 88 yds in first game. Dont see stats for second game yet.

It's only speculation that Alabama's injuries are down because of their S&C. I mean, there is no way to prove any of that. It could be that. It might not be that. I get that the problem lessend once your S&C changed, but a lot of teams go through spurts of injuries that have nothing to do with S&C.
Don't get me wrong....you might be exactly correct and it might be something that can be checked into. But I have never seen anything that suggests that ACL injuries and turned ankles are S&C related.

Blaylock tore his ACL during LSU SECCG. Burton and Jackson, I think are ankle injuries...just enough to hobble them. Washington has a minor fracture (is there really such a thing?

I can see hamstring injuries being S&C related....but the other stuff could happen to anybody at any time no matter S&C.
Like I said...you could be exactly right.
ETA
Correction.....Kearis Jackson had minor knee surgery to clean up something that happened last season. Burton's was a knee injury.
Possible knee injury could be related to S&C. Not necessarily so, but definitely possible.

Didn't y'all just lose Allen for the year? First game? Look man, shite happens.

But y'all told us georgia's offense was going to explode with gilbert, washington, and burton.
You did have 3 great running backs and jt daniels.

It’s one game. And two of those three were unavailable for Saturday.

Kids make it to the pros from all types of programs. It's their talent that gets them there. Schools like OU just recruit higher numbers of that talent. It's not like OU has a special "process" that produces NFL talent. Burden can choose any school, and barring injury or character issues, he's gonna get a shot in the NFL.
really so your telling me a kid who goes to a running back school........who plays wr ........
or a kid who plays wr goes to a school known to produce 1st round draft picks at wr........
one school has 3 5 star qbs ready to go....
