I think you're lost on what unofficial vs official visit means. Unofficial means the cost of getting there, housing, food, etc.. is on him and his family to figure out. Official visits have everything paid for from the transportation, lodging, food, etc..
I'm saying you're retarded if you think he's paying anything -- even if it's unofficial. He's getting a frick ton of benefits to go watch a free game really close to home that his family (who is very invested in his, ah, recruiting) can enjoy.
quote:
But please, carry on lecturing us about how T-shirts are more important than visits to a school that's 1.5-2 hours away.
Him living closer to one of the two schools and going to enjoy free things (he's not paying anything, I can guarantee 100% there are some other parties paying for his trips) and being close enough to home to get back makes a big difference.
He is playing the field, literally, and knows exactly what he's doing.
That you guys are eating this up is kind of shocking to me, but like I said a long time ago: When this kid breaks your heart, I don't wanna see any dog tears.

I think you'd melt more than FSU fans if he goes to UGA.

If I were you I'd stop wasting my time with this loser. He's either stupid or a troll.

He won't be the first 5* Bulldog we've culled and put his face in the dirt.
He probably won't be the last, I don't care where he goes -- I'm not one of those fans who cares what other teams have. I just want to beat them, and if we can do it with a receiver as quarterback, I'm happy.
That being said: I just don't like recruits like Fields. They remind me of guys like Cam Newton, waiting for something extracurricular.
In fact, a lot of this reminds me of Cam. Hope he works out for you dogs so we can beat you with the best team you can have.

lol you've shown you have zero knowledge of his recruitment throughout this thread and now you're showing an impressive amount of ignorance. You're a real treat.

He's obviously weighing all of his options. What school do you think he chooses and why? Because the school he keeps returning to seemingly every weekend is being played.

You think he's paying for his unofficial visits to Georgia and have the gall to call me ignorant? You've been nothing but hostile the entire time, just because I don't think he ends up at Georgia for a multitude of reasons.
The ''out of his own pocket'' for unofficial visits alone makes me wonder if you still think Santa Clause is real.

False... again you seem to struggle with a basic grasp of the English language.
"somewhat surprised if he goes to UGA" =/= "He isn't going to the dawgs"...
"epileptic" =/= disagrees with your jackassery...
Very few here are saying Fields comes to UGA, no question... Americus, who admittedly is generally pretty plugged in on the recruiting front, is pretty confident, but the rest of us as far as I can tell are in the "better than decent chance" category.
Given what I'm seeing from the UGA OL, it's a damn sight more comforting than what's been happening at FSU (QB down as a result) and at least in Auburn's lone "competitive" game with Clemson (11 sacks). It's not perfect by any means, but it's improving and the quality of athlete is as well. Fields loses nothing by not committing yet, because he has a spot literally at every school
You'll also notice that conversation with everyone in this thread other than yourself and Phan has generally been normal. Shitty Gator poster will be shitty I suppose.

Maybe he's interested, maybe he eventually commits to Georgia -- I don't know. I'm glad you guys are using your resources to chase him.
That's what I said. So, maybe, learn my position instead telling me what it is?
And holy frick this kid doesn't care about OL play, he cares about playing time no matter what he's saying. All top recruits are. Why would he go to Georgia to wait two - three years when he could go to FSU and wait one? It's a lateral move, but he can play more at one school.
Aside from academics (100% Georgia), he would just commit today if it was Georgia. He doesn't really have a reason not to at this point.
Except that his family is full of dogs who probably enjoy themselves free tickets at the university they want him to go to that's only an hour and a half away. Like I said:
Ban bet to every other board except Florida/Georgia.
Take it, I'm confident even after these visits he ends up at FSU.

Said the same thing when Florida was out of the running. Not going to Georgia who has a baller quarterback.
I mean I can throw a ton of shite at a wall and point to the comment that was least extreme as well.

You're a buffoon if you don't think QBs care about OL and skilled RB/WRs... I'd say at WR/RB more or less FSU and UGA are going to be close enough that it's not a difference maker... but this is 2 seasons in a row that the FSU QB has spent a *ton* of time on his back... this year it took Francois out for the season in game 1.

He doesn't really have a reason to do so at this point either. Not many recruits decisions seem to be hinging on him. UGA is recruiting fine without him at the other positions that we are filling. He might help us close on Ford at TE, but otherwise not sure there are others that are waiting on him to decide.
As I stated previously... you offered a ban bet, I accepted. Changing the terms doesn't negate the bet. I'll stick with the one I made... you can stick with the other terms with Americus... either way your dumb arse loses unless UF is somehow grabbing Fields again...

You think t shirts matter. Yes. Yes, I have the gall to call you ignorant. Don’t need to because you’ve hooked that shite up to a fire hose and sprayed it up and down this thread.

Why would he only sit one at FSU? There is no guarantee that he won't have to sit at least two there as well, maybe 3.

The only way he'd sit 3 at FSU is if Francois got and came back for a 6th year which is almost 100% not going to happen.

Except for the kid playing all year getting experience that can keep the job from Fields.

Anything can happen but that kid is likely just a stop gap until Francois gets back or someone better comes in.

Just out of curiosity, when is the last time a recruiting thread had 1000 replies.

Good question... probably the thread with TJ talking about how awful Mac was where Straws desperately defended the growth that Mac was going to show this year with their offense. It's been a while but I think there were some gems in there about their running game as well as the transfer QB and/or Franks really adding a new gear to their offense. He's nothing if not consistent... I guess there's always that.
