He's a respectful kid, wanted to break the news to Kirby in person.

Is what I would say if I was holding out hope for this kid coming to AU.

On Clay Webb

THE PICK: Auburn

WHY: “He’s from Alabama. Alabama doesn’t produce that many offensive linemen, and youcan’t let a guy like that get out of the state. Auburn seems to be an offensive line feeder for the NFL. — Four-star DE Derrick McLendon II

While Auburn has done a good job of getting OL honors/recognition and even in the draft, this is an absurd take by a recruit.

Whoever Auburn's negative recruiter is, he is killin it

There's also no way we get Clay Webb. Idk if I'd want him anyway, he looks like he'd be annoying af

I thought this initially, then it was reported that as of yesterday he hasn't told either staff of where he is going. So I would take it as he was leaning UGA but has been really thinking AU the past couple weeks, and just wanted to make sure UGA is where he wants to be. If he makes another overnight to AU though I would think that would be good news for AU.

Auburn is 100% expecting him to visit prior to his decision.

Maybe he will just pop his head in for a few hrs and then get out of town with no plans to come back except every other year

very possible. I truly can't remember signing a player EVER at LBer for Auburn that was the #1 OLB in the entire recruiting class so it is likely that if he does go with UGA, most Auburn fans have learned to be disappointed at recruiting good LBers so we will just take it like we do every other loss.

The Little Ball of Hate, Tray Blackmon was the #1 OLB and #1 player in Georgia in his class.... Of course he was from LaGrange though which makes it a bit different.

Yup, damn shame he couldn't stay on the field

For me he's gotta have the most disappointing career of any Auburn player I can remember.

Maybe not. Based on what I heard, as of today, I'd put the chances of him choosing

UGA at 60%

Barn at 35%

Something fricky at 5%

This morning, before I heard from the insider, I was 80%/20% UGA/Auburn.
