Potentially, sure. Just depends on how the individuals at play take it. I think it's more likely to be positive or neutral but have no way of knowing that for sure because I'm not one of those individuals.

I would counter that it's a public pivot point in UGA's recruiting at that position, so the impact would be greater than it would be at pretty much any other time.

Pappoe will be on the field next year if he sticks with AU. Above all most of these guys want early playing time. That's a hard arguement to beat for anyone. We're losing some LB talent after this season.

A tweet an hour before when coverage of OP's announcement just started on TV with a tag line of "Who's Next" wouldn't have been poorly timed. I think that's using my head, and actually pretty good.

You need to look at the poster again:
It’s brags about our record number of first rounders.
It brags about our highest drafted LB ever.
It includes 5 other players: 2 rbs, 1 OL, 1 OLB, and a WR.
It includes signing bonus and overall contract money.
It is seen by every recruit, and if they heard it before, now they see it reinforced.
Yea, so many negatives can come from that.

I actually think that's a worse look publicly for UGA. It would make it look like Pappoe caught UGA by surprise, and the positive message gets buried by the Pappoe news.
