I’m aware Clemson is a player in his recruitment, but they haven’t offered and it’s not clear that they will.

Good deal. It sounds like Clemson is all in on Flowe and doesn’t want an offer to Simpson to potentially muddy things with him.
Most Heel fans think Simpson will eventually end up at UNC, but we thought that before he suddenly committed to Auburn too. Never know but I feel a lot better with Mack & staff recruiting than his predecessor.

UNC's academics are not better than any other large public university including Clemson.
It doesn't have an engineering college like most large public universities.

Don't take this the wrong way but I've always been surprised Oregon has been able to recruit well in football given its location and climate.
