In Mississippi bow tie=class

(sigh) AP is literally a popularity contest, whereas coaches vote based on what actually happens on field. I'm glad the Ole Miss staff has developed Nkemdiche into a ... popular ... player.
Opinions are opinions and I respect your opinion, but the journalist watch games to write columns. You think Urban Meyer or Jim Mora or etc watched a single Ole Miss game? I think every All-American list has it's obvious flaws, but you're kidding yourself if you think Nick Saban sits down and watches film on VH3 and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu because he can't decide on which one is more deserving.

That post just induced me into the rare and ever-unpopular, reverse shite.
Looks like I'll be sitting on the can for another 15 minutes.

Should we start RN Underachievement and LSU Fans Didn't Melt Over Shea threads to keep the contamination out of here?

Wait, are in implying football coaches don't watch football? There was also a point in the season when OM was ranked #3 in the nation. You don't think every coach in the country wasn't paying attention to a top 5 team? Have you ever played an organized sport or know a single coach?

Holy Christ.

You can rest assured Saban has watched more tape on VH3 than any journalist on the planet. He doesn't do it because he knows he has to vote on players. He does it because he's a football coach.
I mean, you think these coaches binge watch House of Cards or something?

Robert Nkemdiche: 2 sacks, 4 TFL, 35 Tackles yet he has the keys to oxford. I should have walked on there out of high school

They need to pick out something like 30 of the best sports writers from around the country and 30 coaches and combine their rankings for the official AA lists.
One could hold more weight than the others. Fall weekends, I have anywhere between 3-6 screens in front of me playing different games(college and NFL). A hell of a lot easier for a member of the media to do something similar than a coach.
But most times...SID's fill out the coaches polls. I know from 1st hand experience our's did under Nutt. But that's not saying much as I'm pretty sure a random person at Kroger's filled out our play sheets for games under Nutt.

NCAA's top defense last season.
So your D held opponents to a NCAA leading 13pts/game, and you still lost 4 games with a head coach that specializes in offense. Future is bright a Ole Miss. Including a loss coming to the terrible LSU Offense.

It isn't Saban watching VH3 that's we're debating. It's highly doubtful that Saban has spent any time watching some DB from Arizona that Bama has next to zero chance of playing.
Journalists, however, are much more likely to watch both players.
