Remember that one time Ole Miss was as high as number 4 under Jevan Snead and then they pooped the bed? Then last year they were number 3 and Bo Wallace shite his pants.

It's OK Rebs, in another 5 years maybe you'll get as high as 2 before shitting on yourselves.

And in that same timeframe, Tennessee has not been ranked once

It's still bullshite. Shea was following bro..period.

But keeping telling yourself that

It's funny because you don't know that, I don't know that, and we'll never know that. There's two sides and y'all can say whatever, but the fact is, we'll never know and Ole Miss got Shea. I'll gladly take our side

When was the last time Ole Miss competed for anything in football on a conference or national scale? How many decades has it been?

Answer this question honestly? Every fricking year. You're literally retarded. You and CP3LSU25 are destined for each other.
I hear we are in great position for 5* Punter Pablo Escobar.

"My close source that is almost never wrong told me we are in great position for 5* Punter, Pablo Escobar!!! That's all I can say on the matter for now."

Congrats Ole Piss. Only you guys would be ecstatic over useless stats like this considering you still haven't accomplished anything worth a shite in over 50 years.
Only LSUx would attempt to make fun of OM's accomplishments before realizing OM/LSU have the same number of NC's.

What do LSU and Ole Miss fans have in common?

We didn't go to LSU either.
quote:

You can compare the numbers all you want, but we're still talking about actual losses. He hasn't had a season wiht less than 4 losses, fact. 4 losses is not a good season, is it?

Which have decreased every year, while Gus's have more than doubled every year. Freeze said the goal was to make a bowl game in Year 3...we were primed for the college playoffs if the injuries didn't happen.

quote:

It's been 3 years, not 1. And the thread was asking others how good is he. I never said he sucks and is the worst coach I've ever seen. If 3 years isn't long enough to evaluate a coach, when is? 5 years, 10? Or is it when they finally have a breakthrough season that enough time has passed?

Actually, it's quite fricking simple, dinglehead. Once the coach has a full team of his recruited/developed players. aka Houston Nutt. Looked like a great coach with Orgeron's players...his recruited players were questionable as D1 athletes.

quote:

they're still vanderbilt football. they shouldn't beat real SEC teams, just like UK basketball shouldnt' ever lose to SC basketball.

This is your problem. This is how I know you're a dumb, bandwagon riding fan.Funny you say this, but probably thought Pearl was going to change AU's program.

quote:

ok? And? Hell if it weren't for the last FSU drive we'd be national champs right?

Are you really that dense to realize that I was referencing our extreme lack of depth and that all these games we win if we had any D1 athletes past our 1-deep?

quote:

yet real life shows that you actually did go 7-6.

Correct. Real life also shows AU had 5(6) losses this year.

quote:

most of what you're saying is a hell of a lot of "we almost"s.

Again...are you that dense to catch my point? We almost did a lot of things, but our decimated team that Freeze took over had zero depth. It's as simple as that. We're building depth. Ole Miss will win the SEC before Shea Patterson goes to the NFL.

quote:

I'll ask again, what is the standard accepted baseline for when we're allowed to evaluate coaches, when you say so? 3 years is ample time.

And in fact, based on what has already been said and the fact he hasn't finished better than 3rd in his division, I think a ranking bordering on 7/10 is pretty generous.

Let's bring this back to Pearl and the doormat program of AU basketball. If Pearl had y'all at #3 in the conference next year, what would you rank him?
quote:

Melting ole miss fans mostly

If you thought it was OM fans melting, lol. If you participated in the Shea Patterson commitment thread, you'd realize the sarcasm. We had no connection with Smith, no reason for us to melt. Congrats on the pickup...enjoy it, don't obsess over an OM fan making a sarcastic post.
quote:

Fact is that even in his very BEST season, he still had 4 losses He has yet to post a season with less than 4 losses.

This is dumb. Really dumb. In 2013, you're statement would have been the above statement but replaced 4 with 6.

In 2014, your statement would have been the above statement but replaced 6 with 5.

Now, the 5 is replaced with 4.

Your point is retarded until he has a season that is actually worse than a past season.

Freeze has some work to do on his gameday coaching, but what the hell do you expect? He went straight to head coaching and he's incredibly young. He took over a 2-10(TWO frickING WINS) team. Any negative on Freeze is premature and downright dumb AF right now.

quote:

2012: 7-6 with losses to texas (35 points!), bama, a&m, uga, VANDERBILT, and LSu. won the compass bowl in birmingham.
notable wins: arkansas?

Ummm, Vandy was a top 25 team with 9 wins. We lost on last second plays against A&M, Vandy, and lost to LSU because of a botched punt. That's three plays at the end of the game(saying this to point out that Freeze took over a 2-10 team that had less than 50 scholarship players left on roster). We could have been 10-3 a year following 2-10 with no talent left.

quote:

2013: 8-5 with losses to bama, Auburn, a&m, mizzou, and state. beat ga tech in music city.
notable wins: LSU

Year two and beat @Vandy(top 25 team), #6 LSU, @Texas, while losing on a last second play to a&m again. A play away from potentially beating @AU, who went on to the NC game.

Year three and ranked as high as #3. Beat two #1 teams, lost by 3 @LSU, lost on a freak play to AU, and got drummed by Ark and TCU due to injuries and huge morale hit. Attended an NYE6 bowl game. LSU rushed the field.

If you're basing your 6.5/10 off what he has done thus far, you're a fricking idiot...and that's probably putting it extremely lightly.

Want a real discussion? I'd love your breakdown of what Gus has done at Auburn. THREE MORE LOSSES FROM YEAR ONE TO YEAR TWO?!?!?!? YIKESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
