Saw that, and I know the national media has all but counted mizzou out, but a bball insider on a paysite said "There is a reason Mizzou is his last visit."

I really hope you're right Fight. I'll hold out hope to the end. Based on the way he has talked(and it's definitely no inside information) and what I've read, I think it comes down to:

Devin = UK though he obviously really likes the others too.
Mom = Michigan school
Dad = Mizzou

So I suppose the hope is that dad and that history is enough to make up any gap for Mizzou.

Booker making his official visit to Mizzou this weekend. Next weekend is the throwback game at the old Hearnes Center honoring his dad and team.

I think this visit will be to put a sales job on mom. Devin has been there a ton already. Next weekend will be about Melvin(dad) so the attention this weekend has to be on Devin and momma.

Speaking of next weekend mizslu, is there any talk of retiring Melvin's number? How crazy would Hearnes go if, during halftime of the throwback game, they retire Melvin's number and on the heels of that have a major announcement that Devin is committing. The place would go nuts.

I know, I know Belle but a guy can dream.

I'm pretty confident we pull in Booker. Hopefully he sees a Mizzou win on the football field on Saturday.

Did Devin's mom go with him on the trip to UK? If not, that's a major factor here that might bode well for Mizzou. I really didn't hear anything about that aspect of it as all the discussion regarding UK was about Devin having made the trip there with his buddy from Chicago who committed to UK. If mom hasn't seen UK yet but likes her trip to Mizzou, could be a crucial swing...but I just don't know what she's been doing or not with respect to his other official visits.

Myles Garrett, number one player in Texas, is a HUGE pickup for the Aggies.

He appears to be SEC ready right now!

That game and that atmosphere had to help some.

ATX, I don't know with any certainty because you're right, when the actual visit came around all I heard was talk about him and his buddy playing together. What I do remember was before his official visits started, he made a statement that the reason they were important for him was because they would be the first time both his parents would be on a visit with him and it was important to him to visit the schools with both of his parents before he makes his choice. So if I had to guess, I'd guess mom made the trip to UK but I certainly have no idea.

The only thing I saw was someone had spotted him with his Mom and Dad at the airport. They were in town for the Alumni Game and as mentioned he was in with Ulis and some others.

Everything I've read and heard is that she's totally enamoured with Michigan State and Izzo unfortunately. And with his Dad having his affiliation with Mizzou, I would think if she was going to favor Mizzou she would have by now.

I don't think we'd ever get mom to "favor" Mizzou. What I hope this weekend did was elevate Mizzou in her eyes to where she would "support" his decision should it be Mizzou. I'm hoping they showed her and Devin a lot of love over the weekend. The football game and atmosphere, along with the love that was shown at the game, hopefully helped to gaining some of that "support".
