Blue chip recruit visits Mullen excited and ready to commit..

Mullen sits at desk smiling and bullshiting with prospect..

Laughs are shared

Then Mullen says it doesn't matter what you star ranking is around here, man

He goes on and tells kid he will have to work harder than he ever worked in his life just to compete for playing time, no guarantees though.

Recruit responds "ok" with a courtesy smile as he begins feeling a little strange.

Mullen tells prospect that he won't play in year one and unlikely he'll play in year two, because of top heavy roster.

Then, Hevesy walks in with a footlong pastrami sub and Pat's prospect on back. " Hey boy..you ready to play some real football"... then burps out loud

Prospect begins reeling and feels like finding a bathroom.

Hevesy-gorging himself with Subway halts his feast amid the uncomfortable silence in the room. Recruit shakes hands with coaches and commits to Tennessee the following day.

Moorhead's obviously doing a great job but I have little doubt that Mullen would have a similarly ranked class at this point. Mullen recruited MS well. This MS class just happens to be loaded.

I can tell you without a doubt that Mullen would never have gotten Dannis Jackson.

Jackson, Shrader, Cunningham, Washington, Izuchukwu, and probably James wouldn't have committed to Dan Mullen. Pickering may have committed to Mullen but certainly not this early. That's half the current class, whose names would be missing under Mullen's recruiting.

Where are you seeing this? Just went to the 247 board and see nothing on it.

ETA: NVM see the CB, just Robbies tho.

He’ll be interesting to see. Feel like a lot of State’s success with these recruits will rely on how they do this season.

Win 9-10 games and show off an exciting offense and you can probably pull some that are waiting to see now.
