4* WR out of Frederick Douglas High in Lexington commits to UK. Key is a legacy recruit who's Dad Donte Key was a star LB at UK.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Key is tabbed by the 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 32 receiver and No. 221 prospect overall. He is commit is commit No. 16 for Stoops and company in the 2022 cycle.

“Great athlete,” McPeek said. “Great route runner. Long, big hands. Coachable. Leader.

Sounds like a solid pickup.

Solid pickup. There was little doubt at least to me on Dane Key. Kids been at all of our games screaming his head off.

Good things are starting to happen for our WR recruiting. Also seems to be some rumor mill that the Syracuse transfer WR Taj Harris and Barion Brown are both seriously considering Kentucky because of Liam Cohens offense. We might actually have someone to throw the ball to next year.

Big, strong, receiver that can catch the ball in traffic. He will complement the speed guys we have recruited. Excellent leaper as well. Big pickup. A "key" recruit.

16th ranked class at this moment on 247, if they land two 5* recruits of their remaining players of interest, they could finish with a top 10 class
