Picked OU over UGA FSU

10.31 speed really light 160 pounds . Plus our next Hollywood Brown.
216th overall player .

Congrats. He’s supposed to be comparable to Tyreke Hill.

Hollywood Brown. That's who I was trying to think of. I knew there was a comparison. Good pickup with speed to burn. The ONLY drawback I see is his height, but it didn't hurt Brown.

Imagine not seeing this type of player your whole Collegiate career and then on Saturday you gotta make a play everytime he's inserted into the game.

If he's not an every down player, I see his measurements as a bonus.

Hell of a get for Sooners.

We got 2 guys like him. I want to get your guys thoughts on a lot of teams taking chances on guys under 5’10” and 160 lbs, and run sub 10.5 second 100M’s. There is like 6 WR’s in this years class that fall under that category last I glanced. Back 20 years ago, that kid might just play scat back. Now, shorter speedster WR’s are the new trend in college ball.

My question is, you guys think trend will translate to the league? I’d love for these smaller dudes to make the league.

Ty guys ….All the undersized guys usually are underrated . Think we now have 5 guys that run 10.3 . I love what the staff is doing right now. Getting guys who may not be as highly recruited as some but theh value their player assessments or their own ranking more. His film is sick.

Maybe. I played WR and Safety and the height of a WR really didn't enter a lot into it for me. I had more trouble with taller WRs, I guess, but with smaller ones i typically played the ball and not the recevier.

That said, the game has changed a ton since then, and Brown had (and is still having) a very good career, so you probably have a good point.

He's definitely small I agree, but has the frame to add some good weight like Hollywood did. He's a player that will help on special teams and they'll create some plays for him on offense to take advantage of his speed.

Big difference from this new staff to the old one is they place a premium on speed on both sides of the ball. Riley didn't so we had slow DBs, slow WRs, slow RBs. There just wasn't much speed to be had which is perplexing.

Seeing how slow of running backs we have had was a puzzling moment in time . Glad it’s over.

RBs and DBs that run 4.6s for 40 times is a recipe for losing against great teams, which is what usually happened. I never saw "team speed" develop under Riley and it never seemed like they recruited for it.

He was highly rated for a reason. He'll do well, I'm sure.
