This. He’s not even big enough to play kicker.
He'll probably put on another 10 pounds before he hits campus maybe even more. I figure he'll be at least 200 pounds before he sees the field.
We're not going to be running a traditional offense so height and weight aren't as important as accuracy. Most plays will be out of the gun. Less hits and better vision of the field. Besides you can't even touch a QB in the pocket anymore.

pare me the Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, and Johnny Football comparisons. He’s not one of them.
quote:he plays in one of the highest divisions of arguably the toughest high school football in the nation and has set ridiculous passing records as well as winning just about every game he’s started. I’d say kid can ball
I’m not watching his film, because I don’t know enough about talent/mechanics to be a critic

I don't know . . .this also goes for John Stephen Jones who had better stats but no one thinks he will see the field for you guys. HP is a system offense that hammers kids from 7th grade on regarding the process. That is great for extremely honed attacks in the 5A Texas system but should not be extrapolated out to college ball.
HP is pretty famous here for ducking 6A status and avoiding the real powerhouse programs. It is almost comical . . the 6A student body cutoff is referred to as HP + 10 kids. In the recent re-alignment The HP student body had just grown to 2,180 kids. The UIL decided the cutoff for 6A will be 2,189 students.
HP consists hyper-focused, very wealthy type A families who want to drill their children into athletic achievement far beyond their natural talents. They run into a vastly superior athletes in the playoffs and beat through them through execution and discipline.
He could be a real gamer for sure but he is not a transcendent athlete needing coaching up . . .pretty much the polar opposite.

JSJ was also a low 3*, 50+ ranked QB, #250 player in Texas who got an offer becaue of his grandpa. Of course no one thinks he’s going to see the field at an SEC school.
Morris is a 4*, top 10 dual threat, #50 player in Texas who got invited to the Elite 11 finals and has actual offers from P5 schools better than Arkansas.

Morris' film looks good even though he looks like a freshman. As I said earlier, 5'10" is tall enough for college, all about the weight for him. His frame looks like it will top out around 190 and that's a little concerning for a dual threat.

Dabo and Lincoln Reilly wanted him, I’ll take their judgment over the Rant Recruiting Experts but thanks guys!

Chad is a family man and can't fault him. Saban wasn't there for his daughter and she tried making people's arse quit in the sorriority
