I don't believe there was much doubt we led for him recently. That being said, the longer this drew out, the more likely it was he would stay home.

ok, now my go-to guys on other boards are getting weaker on Andrew Raym. Uggh. Oh well.

Most Georgia fans feel the same way. Some still hold out hope Pittman can pull it off, but as you said...just too many positives for oos teams to pull it off.

Pretty sure Raym stays home as well. Never really thought he'd leave. He grew up a Sooner fan and OU is right down the Turnpike for his parents and he'll be coached by Bedenbaugh.

Just too many positives for out of state teams to overcome IMO although he'd be a great fit at Georgia under your coach as well.

Can I fall on the sword now? All my UGA peeps are pessimistic we get him now. Oh well - see you in the playoff.

No reason to impale yourself on any sharp objects. Getting Raym out of OK was a long shot for anybody. Hard to sell a kid on leaving his home state when there are no negatives to him staying home.

He did indeed come back with an emotional high from his Georgia visit but you know emotional highs are always fleeting in recruiting with teenagers. Happens to all of us.

think it was a lot more than an emotional high my friend. Of all position groups/coaches, almost no OL is safe when Sam Pittman is around - he doesn't miss often. Just seeing how close this recruitment was is proof enough. A kid that grows up cheering for Sooners and 2nd/3rd generation of fans - this should have never been close.

Just look at Pittman's recruiting and the talent he has brought in - it's no joke.

Your posts are so cringe worthy. I swear you would suck Sam Pittmans dick if he asked you to.

Raym did the same thing and made us nervous after he took an official to Notre Dame.

Raym was supposed to make his decision at 1:00pm Central time. Now being told that he is white-water rafting and has no cell service - seems odd. The word is now Raym will release his commitment video at 3:00pm Central time.

UGA guys have been silent and some CBs to Oklahoma ahead of video (although not an avalanche).

No reason right now to doubt he will announce Oklahoma. Raym is a hella prospect - gonna be great whereever he plays - his tape looks dominant.

Raym committed to our coaches back on May 25th. Glad he's staying home. He'll be an elite OL.

He's very good. I like him a lot and will be a great player for you guys.

If he confirmed to coaches on May 25th, why make those visits? just for fun I guess?

no worries, good luck to you guys except in the playoff.

He previously committed to us as a Soph and decommitted 6 months later when his recruiting exploded. He wanted to explore all of his options because he's a smart kid.

He had genuine interest in Georgia (and Pittman) and that's why he went. It wasn't for fun. Georgia made a hell of an impression and he had some doubts down the stretch. He's just been a Sooner all his life and that won out in the end.

Did manning commit to A@M or something ? Just because a guy recommits later to us..... is it really a big deal?

Georgia fans I think I saw this same type of behavior out of you when I came here and told you Haslewood was OUs early to mid season. Then late the story changed....... until........ you guessed it he committed to OU just like I told you Raym would.

The site we use always lets us know way in advance where things were going. We knew Manning might decommit for like 2-3 weeks. We knew Raym was put into a serious fight after the UGA visit. Coaches later said they felt good about it. If this was Stoops I wouldnt trust a word. Riley is a god using the internet for recruiting. He is very active as you almost have to be... Stoops could never figure it out.

Serious respect for Pittman. Andrew wasn't expecting his Georgia visit to have the affect on him that it did. That shows in his tweets when he returned from his visit. He made us sweat.

Our info is pretty dang accurate as well.

As soon as we found out he wasn’t heading to Athens we came in and said so.

Dawgnation Article - Raym Announcement

snippet from linked article below:

Pittman made it close. Very close. It just appears that the Sooners had about a 17-year head start. That was how Raym answered the question about how Oklahoma won out.

“The fact I’ve worn and dreamt of wearing that uniform for 18 years now,” Raym told DawgNation after his decision.

How close was it here?

Close. Very. It even appears that Pittman and Georgia have overtaken his home state Sooners at one point.

“There were 2 weeks I didn’t think I was going anywhere but Georgia,” Raym said. “I loved Georgia, but the love for OU just ran so much deeper.”

He also gave some finality to his recruiting decision. Will he take any more visits? Is there a chance for a late flip here?

“I’m done,” Raym told DawgNation.
