Like worse than kicked off of two teams (including your own) for drugs, academics, and legal issues?
I wasn't trolling...
He took a player kicked off Georgia team for aggravated assault of a woman and and the case wasn't even cleared by the court. Kid screwed up again with another assault charge this time at Bama and was released.
Yesterday Saban condoned Cam and Hootie's actions, saying it wasn't serious rather played them as the victim of a LSU fan. They committed 3 felonies and we're not even suspended, and will not miss one second of playing time.
So yes, unless this kid killed someone there is another reason other than drugs.

Why should they be suspended for dropped charges?

Because it teaches them nothing, only strengthens the entitlement attitude that players have at every school.
They committed the crime, just because the DA decided not to prosecute doesn't mean they are innocent.

They were dropped because the DA didnt want to prosecute first time offenders for felonies. It's not like they didn't do anything wrong. They had illegal drugs with guns in a car, that's pretty dumb if nothing else.

Selling drugs?
Has to be VERY serious for Saban not to take him.
There's a big difference in selling drugs and smoking weed. I guess you don't recall the Jimmy Johns situation? Projected starting OLB got caught dealing and he was sent packing.

So your policy is to punish based on arrest? Apparently these players have been and are still being disciplined. It's not like Les didn't have a QB arrested for a violent felony. He was reinstated as soon as charges were reduced. Just don't act like either coach is sitting in some ivory tower when it comes to helping their team win.

Yet Tyrann Mathieu was dismissed for smoking weed.
Cam and Hootie committed 3 felonies, way more than selling a couple dime bags.

Yes unless it was a case of mistaken identity. Commit a crime and punish them more than bleacher laps or community service.
That goes for any players on any team. The idea is to change the behavior, running laps won't do that, losing playing time will.

I'm not saying about us, just saying he was acting like they did nothing wrong because charges were dropped. It's not like they thought "oh hey, having guns in our car with our weed is no big deal". They just got extremely lucky it's a nice DA. I think it's sad in general the state of football suspensions isnt directly related to what these kids are doing is wrong but rather the hand has to be forced to punish them by the law in so many cases now. If they can get off there it's like nothing happened. they probably run a bit or something to that degree. Like putting a child in timeout for 5 minutes.

Yea he is a tackling machine. It's a LSU /Syracuse battle for him and he has been calling Syracuse his leader for a while now.

An LSU fan ruining an SECrb thread by going into troll/flame mode? Shocker.
