I hate to burst Tennessee fan's bubbles, but Cliff will be in BR this weekend for an unofficial. He'll also be visiting for the TAMU game. Also only going to Ole Miss to watch LSU play. Kid's a fricking lock DWI.

He already scheduled a return visit to UT.

Chief is an awful recruiter, so we should get our hopes up.

He definitely seems to love Chavis though. And I'm just going to call bullshite on the return visit just like the article that was supposed to come out and say that Tennessee had pulled even with or ahead of LSU. Once again, don't get your hopes up. This Saturday is his first game in Death Valley. And we'll actually win unlike the Vols.

ETA: Seriously though, good pickup with Blair. We need y'all to be good so Bama will have some competition from the East.

Ya'll definitely got lucky with Auburn having a logjam at OT.

BS, look at the offer sheet. He's elite and grew up in your backyard, and the Vols stole him. Hell, he named AU his leader coming out of his visit he set up immediately after getting the offer.

Cortez McDowell [x]
DaVonte Lambert [x]
Dontavius Blair [x]

Yeah, the reason Tennessee can't get back is because they can't attract the talent anymore...
UT is one of the easiest schools to pitch in the country.

"It's real simple, he's guy of his size that moves like a guy with much smaller size. Those guys are rare. I think people look at him and notice that he's a massive dude, but his footwork is that of a guy 40-pounds lighter. He moves incredibly well and for how big he is.

"He's a lot like Chad Mavety. They're almost like identical players. Blair is a little taller, but they're almost the same.

"You need a guy like that if you're Tennessee. You're not going to get very far in the SEC if you're playing all freshman and sophomore offensive linemen. You need a junior college guy to replace all of those bodies and if you get a guy with a body like Blair, who already looks like a college senior, that's great and you should be able to plug him and expect him to play right away."

This will make up an amazing past couple of days for your Vols.

First that epic moral victory and now this? Sky is the limit!

Oh so you know exactly what Butch is telling them? Is he telling them "Hey guys we're going to get trashed by Alabama, Oregon, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, etc"? That foundation speech works real well on the legacies. We'll see how it will work on closing the rest of your class when they see those burnt orange jersey's getting thumped every week.

quote:

Great job listing players you have already committed when we're talking about CLOSING players. If you don't know what closing is, it is the empty slots not the taken ones. Good luck with that after you get trashed by 5 or 6 teams then end up with 4 or 5 wins.

quote:

You're obviously mad I said you guys will win 4 or 5, get stomped by 5 or more and will probably lose a lot of recruiting steam because of that. It will happen. Deal with it.

Nice predictions, gump.

Yeah, I should have predicted South Alabama would almost beat you at home.

You got trashed by Oregon and Florida, but hey you guys got that "victory" against Georgia!

Vols Butch!

How is this wrong? You lost against every decent team so far and beat all the bad ones. You almost beat a good one? Yeah. The week before you almost lost to a bad one.

You have USC, Bama, Mizzou, Auburn and Vandy coming up.

Which one of those are you guys winning? Maybe Vandy?

If you can only beat Vandy and Kentucky you will have........... 5 wins. So I'd be right

And? Every Tennessee poster on here expected that. You said all summer that UT's recruiting class would fall apart as soon as we started losing games. I told you win/losses wouldn't effect recruiting for this class.
