Apparently this guys grades checked out for UT, expect an Ole Miss vs Texas battle down the stretch.

Ole Miss can't possibly compete with an opponent who has the NCAA in their back pocket.

The school who paid top dollar to take Greg Little out of Dallas can’t afford a JUCO Linebacker?

It's not a money issue...it's a scrutiny issue. Ever since their 2013 and 2015 classes, any recruit that signs with Ole Miss is heavily vetted.

Makes this recruitment confusing.. the core classes seen to knock him out on SEC options, yet he's visiting Ole Miss. Ole Miss cant afford to be throwing $, especially with a kid who can't get in.

Makes you wonder who his mentors are.. surely his CC coaches know all about the SEC qualifiers being an issue.

Tennessee has enough options that they don't need to take a chance. A&M is doing the same thing - one of the commits is simply not going to qualify, and is not expected to qualify

Ole Miss is always willing to take a chance on a potential non-qualifier

It makes me think he can, it's just possible that he won't. He'll likely have to do a lot of work in the summer and he's talented enough for Ole Miss to take a chance. At this point, our LB options are fairly limited and we've signed 7 HS in the past 2 years. Ole Miss would probably love to redshirt one of the true freshmen we were forced to play last year and signing Henry probably allows us to do so.

Arkansas seems confident that he’ll qualify. I think he’s a hog.

ARKANSAS COULD LAND THE NATION'S NO. 1 JUCO LB (2/4/19 2:30 P.M. EST)
Logged a 247Sports Crystal Ball forecast in favor of Arkansas for Dodge City Community College linebacker Lakia Henry after talking to two sources with knowledge of the recruitment.

Ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the nation's No. 1 inside linebacker and No. 3 prospect overall, the 6-foot, 225-pound Henry took an official to Texas over the weekend but made it back to the Razorbacks campus on Sunday before the dead period hit.

Pretty impressive pitch the Arky staff must have given to get Henry to drive 7 hours both ways during the quiet period to visit Fayetteville after his Texas visit

The kid loves Chavis and is being sold on playing next to De’jon Harris this upcoming season. Hopefully that visit seals the deal for us because we definitely need him.

I will say that Yancy and David reporting he was safely back in Kansas while Texas and Arkansas were reporting what he was actually doing made for a good read the last two days.
