Wanya last cycle.

I never really thought we were a player but some on the AU board thought we were gonna sneak in and steal Warrior late in that cycle so there's another.

I honestly cannot remember ever beating Auburn in a head to head recruiting matchup.

I remember Nigel being a foregone conclusion for VOLS with us also thinking we were getting Gibbs BUT I’ve done a lot of drugs since then so maybe my memory is not 100% accurate regarding that krootment

Maybe it was just a reverse Carl Lawson situation where we had convinced ourselves we had a chance but in reality he was a foregone conclusion to y'all already

Yeah I don’t think Dale Carter’s son was going anywhere but VOLS.

Back to the topic on hand, Hardy was apparently telling everyone from current commits to coaches to beat writers that he was headed to VOLS, so it’s very funny to see him pick Barn seemingly out of left field

I just don’t understand why we didn’t pony up the necessary funds. Did we think we could get him cheaper because of the instate + familiarity factor? We didn’t go cheap on a lot of the Nashville kids.

247 has a 1-on-1 with him. That explains his decision, but go ahead and stick to your conspiracy theories.

There’s no conspiracy theory. Only a moron thinks both UT and Auburn don’t pay these kids. Especially a kid rated as highly as Hardy. UT pays recruits. Auburn pays recruits. We got outbid plain and simple by a kid who was a heavy UT lean for years.

Or do you think UT got Wayna over Auburn last year for free?

Yeah probably has nothing at all to do with how well Auburn had been developing DL for the NFL and him considering that when thinking about his future

Or how bad UT has been during his lifetime. He was like 4 years old the last time they won 10 games.

Lmao so naive.

He legit committed to Tennessee 3 months ago and had told other commits as much up until the night before. This is a dude who wore Vols gloves to every game he played. Let’s not be ignorant here to the goings on behind the scenes with money. That’s just stupid. Every school does it so no reason to pretend it didn’t happen here.

You’re going to get to the NFL whether you’re at Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky or Vandy if you have the potential. shite Derek Barnett never improved from freshman year till his junior year thanks to Butch and his shite position coaches and still went first round. But let me guess - Derrick Brown owes it all to bag man Rodney Garner on being a future first rounder, right?

Pretty epic Vol melt

"If he commits to Auburn, a glorified cow pasture, and then comes to read a Vol message board then the kid has skin as thin as Kevin Durant. Good look to you and your fam at Trailer Park U. And tell the kid to stay away from those house parties down there. Like forreal forreal"

Always have to laugh when people bring up wearing school gear as a huge indicator that he is going to their school. They hand those things out like candy. It means nothing.

He told the AU staff on Sunday after he made his decision on Saturday. It's not like it was his first time there.

Go read Austin Price’s post on 247 bud. Hardy had him come down and film him and take his story for his announcement 3 months ago.

Imagine comparing growing up a UT fan and wearing the school gloves to every game the same thing as a kid wearing randomly wearing a teams shirt or gloves a time or two.

Trent Simpson did the same thing with AU. All of these kids are making videos now. Tank did one with USCe. Many of them get pressured to do so.

He didn’t get pressured. He reached out to Price. Do you really believe Auburn and Tennessee don’t pay recruits money through one avenue or another? Seriously asking.
