Currently committed to South Alabama, but is visiting Auburn, Alabama, and VOLS in January. What’s the story on this kid? Very low ranking and has seemingly all of a sudden garnered interest.

"As far as his play goes, he seems to lack a lot of technique. It seems he plays the position by out "athleting" his competition. He seems to have adequate speed and plays the ball well, but doesn't seem to use his body as effectively as he should."
So, in other words, no thank you for Auburn. Surely, with as few spots as we have left we can find better players than that.

Sounds like the potential is there then if he is just out athleting people. Then he can learn the technique in college the way you want. However, he seems like the kind of kid you get when your options run out.

Just seems odd that his entire recruitment has been C-USA and Sun Belt teams and all of a sudden he’s visiting 3 major programs.

I think it'll become pretty common for major programs to "recruit" guys like this right before the early signing day just so they don't sign early. Major programs want to have backup options in February if it comes to that.

I think you nailed it, and it’s a very good point... major programs want backup options in the table come January.... early signing period threatens some of that.

Sounds like a good athlete who will need some coaching up. A perfect backup option. What's the problem?

Exactly.
A football player who hasn't made it to college yet doesn't play with the best technique, shocking
