Hearing it's State. Not the best offer list (State, Ole Miss, Indiana, Louisville, Mizzou, and others) but looks like a solid RB.

Any of you in Alabama know anything about him? Looks like he was Mr. Football last year. Had 3,342 yards and 53 TDs. Wow.

Ameer Abdullah, Runya "Bear" Wilson type prospect that will make a really good college player. That player that slips through the in-state team's cracks because they have higher players on the board.

I have also read Mississippi State.

How does a kid who ran for 3,000 yes scored 50tds and named Mr football slip through the cracks?

Ask the coaches.

Maybe grades, maybe measurables, maybe other prospects are favored over him. Maybe all of the above.

I didn't agree with Auburn passing over the two mentioned in my other post.

Auburn is going to regret passing on him. He is a small kid, but can really play. I think the big issue is he has a ton of carries on his legs, and wont really get much better than he is, but he is a really good back.

Happens fairly frequently unfortunately. I was hoping he'd sign with Auburn. y'all are definitely getting a good one.

It's not that he's slipped through the cracks it's more that AU staff has others higher on the board. I think his size and lack of speed put him lower down on our board. We already have a 5'7" back committed in Shaun Shivers (though they are very different runners) so staff might be hesitant to recruit two sub 5'10" backs.

Will be very interesting to see if we regret not pushing for him over the next 3-4 years. He's a solid player who could do well in ya'lls system

There's four good RBs in Alabama for 2018. That's how. Though Joiner will outgrow the position.

High school stats don't mean much at all.

I remember a guy named Itavious Mathers putting up 500 total yards against my team in the first half in high school. It took all 11 players on our team to bring him down on a given play, and we were a decent high school team going 7-3 in the regular season and getting to the third round of the 5A playoffs in Tennessee.

He went to Ole Miss and rode the pine for 3 years before transferring and having a good senior year at MTSU.

The gap between high school and college is enormous. It's much bigger than the gap between college and the NFL.

Mathers could not catch the football. Go watch the Arkansas game when we were drubbed 30-0. He heard footsteps from 10 yards away.
