True, it doesn't change what I said though. The average NFL running back is 5'10. 6'3 is tall for a RB although there are a few exceptions like McFadden.

His hs coach has him at 6'2 but at that point we're splitting hairs.

I hear you. I'm not saying he won't be successful, just that it's not all that common for an RB to be 6'3.

Oh I know where you're coming from man. This one looks you be our violent between the tackles guy. We are eyeing a speedster as well since we took 0 rbs last class.

James "Little Man" Stewart was 6'1" but 6'3" might be pushing it. That's Hurd's height and he's gone to Baylor to run the I-formation he loves and maybe to play TE or WR.

In all seriousness, I see no reason why this guy can't do well in college as long as runs with leverage. It's just a bit harder for taller guys but it's by no means a deal breaker. If height does become an issue hopefully he's smart enough to see it early on and can help SC out at another position like TE.

I don't know about TE.. I would think WR at 6'3" 208. We have two WR on our roster bigger than that, Bryan Edwards and Ortre smith.

Ortre smith is a alshon Jeffery clone in size, 6'4" 229.

I was thinking in terms of physical contact/since RBs are already blocking in pass pro an RB with height can convert to TE and have serious success but there's no reason they can't convert to WR assuming they're fast enough and can run WR routes. But give me a speedy TE of that size and you've got a true offensive weapon. Good WRs are a dime a dozen but a TE with the potential skillset like that is both rare and a nightmare for Ds.

that describes our current te kc Crosby to a T. Scored 4 times on only 23 catches last year.

Guys like that are a complete mismatch for defenses. They're plain deadly.
