O'Donnel Fortune says, "er'body can kiss my arse I'm about to show y'all recruitards something."
Boom and T-Rob know what they are doing.
3.8 GPA Student Body President
6-1 170 4.53 30 inch vertical ... has never camped until this week at the mUSChamp camp.
He's just a ballplaya.
If I had his hair i would've been POTUS.
#InB4uggaSays lol at only 2 stars.

Fortune (6-1, 170) camped with the Gamecocks earlier in the day Friday and received an offer. He is South Carolina’s ninth commitment for the class, second on defense and first for the secondary.
Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks had been recruiting O’Donnell for several months and waited until Friday to spring the good news of an offer on him.
“I think he had a pretty good idea,” Sumter High coach Mark Barnes said. “Two months ago if South Carolina had offered I don’t think he would have entertained anybody else. I think deep down inside he wanted to go to South Carolina. I figured when they pulled the triggered he would pull the trigger right back at them.”
Last season he recorded nearly 40 tackles and his coach estimated he had five interceptions. And Barnes said its Fortune’s ability to cover that makes him stand out.
“I think he’s a rare combination for a high school kid with good height and long arms,” Barnes said. “He has played press man, half coverage, quarters, he’s played a lot of coverages. He has great ball skills. Coach Muschamp loves to play man coverage and loves to tackle people and I think O’Donnell can do all those things. He’s got good hip flexibility and he’s able to change directions quickly, and he has long arms. And he is willing to be physical and tackle people. He is good in the run game. He has phenomenal ball skills. He also is a punt return and kick return guy.”
O’Donnell also has played safety in his career but the Gamecocks see him as a cornerback.

LOL at the premelt...
Frankly, much like Pruitt, I'd trust Boom's evals on the defensive side of the ball. But it's cool, keep up the good fight Scrooster...

What do you mean by that.
Don’t make me angry with the backhanded mathematics.
He’s a 2 star dammit. I know what you ugga fans are thinking.

I’ll trust Trob and Muschamp on their evaluation

He is a composite 3* DB with length and apparently a sub 4.5 40. He came to our camp and worked out for both Muschamp and T-Rob, and they offered him today, and he committed on the spot. His best offers at this point was Colorado, Virginia, and UCF.....

Yeah, just saw that Colorado offer as well... If Boom and Mel Tucker both think he can play, IDGAF about a recruiting ranking anyway... Kid'll play ball...

Lol... One might ask the same question of you...
"He's kinda slow and white..."
Clearly neither of those things are accurate.

Where in my post were there mathematic references?

This would require you to have a functioning brain... At this point the signs all point to dementia on that side of the keyboard... Possible stroke, but it happens so frequently..
Just enjoy the commitment... The kid will ball... At this point I'd be more worried about his recruitment picking up based on the coaches that have offered so far already... Boom and Tucker together will draw attention...

While I like fortune...he is a bit of a reach...a 30 inch vertical scares the absolute hell out of me...we are talking about a cb with length and with average speed these days..at 6"1' maybe, and a 30 inch vertical he better have a wingspan of a pterydactcl... Cause he will be asked to lock down Wrs taller as fast if not faster and all jump higher.
Edit: All in all he is a project, and I don't think I like us taking a project this early in the class.

Vertical is fixable... Maybe not to boost to elite levels... But certainly could be improved...
4.5 speed is hardly slow...

No it isn't slow...but it's very comparable to Wrs in the sec...so if he is in phase and it's a jumpball....i dont like 30 inches unless he has the span of a dinosaur

Also when we say this may be our best class ever and we are taking projects..its a bad look

I could be wrong and he may explode like Cam Smith did last year so we will see...difference is Cams film was undeniable..Fortune, is lacking the it...but he's picked up some solid offers of late so I may be off.

How do you know he is a project? Boom and trob don't care about stars and obviously you do. Our recruiting has been extremely strong this cycle and if they took him this early that means they want him. Stop worrying about how this " looks".

So many posters on the Rant all wrapped up in stars, just to beat their chest. News bulletin boys, what DE in the SEC was a 2 star and drafted in the damn TOP FIVE overall in the draft? All SEC, All American.
Josh Allen of UK. Which proves developing players once they are on the campus is huge. And Im not a UK fan, but Stoops has done a great job. UK will most likely drop some in 2019 after losing a lot of defensive playmakers.
