Kirby coached his brother Minkah at Bama as his D-coordinator.

Nice pickup. Interesting that he didn’t have any interest in Alabama.

Minkah supposedly told him to go play for Kirby.

Wow...that would be something, if true.

Not sure the feeling wasn't mutual.

Alabama already has two highly rated CBs committed and is battling for Brandon Arrington.

They didn't push for Fitzpatrick for whatever reason.

More likely that was just not interested in Bama because Saban is no longer the head coach.

No Saban. No Kirby. No brainer.

THE only reason any DB would commit to Alabama over Georgia is because the money was better and the money was most important. The secondary is Kirby's baby, and there's no one out there who coaches them better.

And that may be the reason. I have no idea. But secondary is not going to be a concern. Plenty loaded roster and recruiting class there. But can’t imagine we wouldn’t want him unless numbers are that tight.

Commitments from Jorden Edmonds and Zyan Gibson.

Tell us about this pedigree of producing top DBs and putting DBs into the league that this Bama defensive staff has.

Serious question, unless its about the money, why would any DB recruit commit to Alabama over Georgia?

Are you serious?

Alabama is DBU. Not Georgia, not LSU.

Alabama.

Do recruits actually care what a school has done if the coaches are no longer there. Saban, Pruitt, Kirby, and others were beasts that built the machine but those guys aren’t there anymore

And you don't understand our db's now. It hasn't stopped.

Why would that be something? His brother played for a staff no longer there. Kirby has a relationship with the family.

You will see how high our db's are going to be drafted in the next few years.
