Agreed.
Everyone questioned taking a zero offer McKinney late in the process in 2011 and that one has worked out tremendously. Will be interesting to see with Dez Harris last year -- which saw about the same amount of scrutiny...

Mississippi State has probably signed more kids from Tuscaloosa the last several years than Alabama has. Tuscaloosa just doesn't produce a lot of talent for a city of its size. But next year is supposed to be a decent year.

Pretty nice sleeper potential. I guess being a 4* on 24/7 really doesn't make him a sleeper anymore -- but Scout and Rivals will naturally take alot longer to reevaluate him...if they get around to it...

I dunno how many LBs we are looking to take at this point?
Got 8 currently on roster with only 1 senior -- and 2 already committed...with a spot obviously held for Gerri Green...
Don't really think we take 4 unless coaches are expecting some attrition from the position...

I just don't see how we have room for Shareef... I want him to get a scholly... But if we get Morgan and Garrett he won't have a spot... Maybe I'm wrong... Happens every couple years.
ETA: I'm not saying we are going to get Garrett LSU fans... Just saying that if we do it will probably cost an instate guy a spot

Agreed...
I'm pretty confident I am going to lose our bet largely for that reason now... with Aeris and Jackson both dropping down to 3* composites thanks to those shitty sites...
Even if Cory Thomas, Durr, and others get bumps as expected from 24/7 @ BDC -- the other sites won't likely update for months...

Why do y'all either believe or want others to think you believe Stanely is going to just play football? He flat out said that's why he decommitted from Vandy because they wouldn't let him play basketball and QB their team. Why do y'all keep insisting things have changed now that he picked a school that told him he could play both?

Lulz you'd lose it either way. Jackson isn't a 4 star on 247 and you get Green due to the composite bet so its a fair switch with Aeries. Don't make excuses for talking out of your arse

I'm not -- nor have I seen anyone -- claim that he's "only" going to play football. Just that football is his first and primary priority. That's directly from his dad on Elite... He also said Elijah wouldn't join the basketball team at all until after the bowl games are over. So, he's a football player first...
He's also gained over 20 lbs of muscle this summer and weighed in @ 231 @ BDC(which was the most exciting thing to me that I've heard from the whole camp honestly) which would imply that his summer weight training has been almost 100% football-centric. Dude has the frame to run a sub-4.6 @ 250+...

Do you deny that all 3 are EASY 4* talents that will be rated as such before the end of the season?
I wasn't "talking out of my arse" when I thought Scout and Rivals would rate them properly the first time.

So when the kid decommitted and told reporters he did so because he wanted to play both and Vandy wasn't going to let him, you're telling me he lied? And that I'm suppose to believe you?
