2024 4* LB Demarcus Riddick commits to Georgia

Currently the #2 recruit out of Alabama and the #2 LB for 2024. Dawgs currently have the #1 recruiting class for 2024.

This is a curious situation. He has 15 offers and appears to be a stud, but does not show an offer from Bama. Anyone know why?

Colleges have to be careful with instate prospects. You can’t offer a kid and then have them commit and withdraw the offer. It’s not a good look and hurts you locally. Not saying that’s the case here but it might be.

This guy goes to school with my daughter. Same grade,has a few classes with her. If and when bama offers he will be going to bama. He's a big bama fan.

Maybe, but these guys get butt hurt by stuff like that all the time. Like “Georgia is one of the top programs and they offered me early and showed love. What took Bama so long?” Lord knows Georgia has missed out on several guys in the past due to that kind of logic. Tank Bigsby comes to mind.

Yeah I could see that happening. He is a bama fan but if he feels slighted and not appreciated it may make him turn against bama. I do know that he is a freak athlete, my son played with him two years ago and was telling me about this freshman that was a stud coming up. It turned out to be him.
